I’m Meggie. I’m a mom balancing kids, life and work. I started reading as a chance to distract myself from the chaos of the world. I love a good Rom Com, Thrillers with “didn’t see that coming” twists, literary fiction filled with drama and audiobooks with top notch narrators .

A New England native, I love coffee, golden retrievers and watermelon. ☕️🍉

Honest reviews and recommendations so you can find a book that makes the most of the little bit of time you have to read.
So whether you’re reading (and dozing off) before bed, in the school pickup line or listening on your commute to work, let’s help you find a book that’ll make that time worth it.

I’m busy. You’re busy. Let’s read.

Some days call for coffee. ☕📚☕️

Just a girl, her coffee, and a book she probably stayed up too late reading. 😬

I mean… what if the books need us? What if they’re just sitting there waiting for someone to love them? 🥹📚

So really, buying more books is less of a shopping problem and more of a community service. Just doing my part. 😂

A little reminder for this season of life: you don’t have to have it all figured out. You don’t have to feel motivated, be well-rested, or have the perfect plan.

Sometimes you just have to do it anyway. 🍂

Read the book. Go for the run. Try the thing. Put yourself out there. Start before you’re ready.
Life is too short to keep waiting for the stars to align. So here’s to doing it anyway, one chapter (and one messy day) at a time. 🩷

Let them judge. 🤷‍♀️

Let them watch you run, lift, sweat, struggle, start over, and do something they never thought you would.

You weren’t put on this earth to make yourself smaller so other people can feel comfortable. You’re here to be YOU. Unapologetically, imperfectly, gloriously you.

So lace up the shoes. Do the workout. Chase the goal. Take up space.

The only opinion you have to live with every day is your own. 🏃‍♀️💪

And honestly? I have miles to run and books to read. I don’t have time to worry about it. 📚

Day 1 of training for a HALF MARATHON is officially in the books. (Pun absolutely intended.)

Just a millennial mom, fueled by coffee, and the audacity to believe 13.1 miles is a reasonable thing to do for fun. 🫠

My kids are growing up. My TBR is growing faster. And apparently, so is my mileage.

Motherhood is my peak era. Let’s see if my knees agree. 🏃‍♀️📖🔥

You know when you pick up a book thinking you know what it’s going to be about, and then it makes you think about something completely different?

That was Hollywood, Ending by John Green for me.

A little Hollywood intrigue, a lot to think about, and a reminder that there’s always more to a story than what we see on the surface.

💬 Are you a behind-the-scenes Hollywood person, or would you rather keep the magic (and the drama) a mystery???

Pffffft… serious questions only! Obviously I have other hobbies… like being Mama Uber, running a 24/7 chauffeur service, and pretending I don’t hear the fire call tones at 2 AM because if he’s getting up, WE’RE ALL GETTING UP! 🤣☕️📚🚒🦩

Following along for book recommendations and a whole lot of the above ☝🏻

It’s a gloomy New England day… ☁️🍁🥶

I wasn’t sad, I just needed a little treat. Or a few?🫶🏻📚☕️

🚨🚨it’s lunchtime!🚨🚨

Had lunch today at Mozz. & Co. in West Hartford, CT.

Wooooowie! Delicious just isn’t enough of a word to describe how good this sandwich was.

Tried the Calabrese Cotoletta…I was left speechless and not because my mouth was full but because this might be the best sandwich/grinder I have ever had…

5/5⭐️
Sauce warning: Don’t wear white unless you’ve got your shout wipe ready. If not don’t worry it’s totally worth it.
