I put LaDucas on for the first time EVER in @thejasonwilliamsexperience class about a month ago and BOY am I glad I did. Somehow every time I take Jason’s class, it’s exactly what the doctor ordered. The very first day, I hid in the back corner (duh) and was seriously questioning if I was about to break an ankle in these brand-new, not broken-in heels. It had been a long day but then Jason played “I LOVE YOU” by Yseult… just go listen. It’s barely even in English but the music, the movement, the vibe, everything was perfect and a reflection of everything I was feeling moving to NYC. Fast forward to the combo in the video. My grandfather had passed away just hours before and I reallyyyyy didn’t want to go to class. Of course, I decided to go (cue speech on the healing power of dance) Jason played “This Little Light of Mine” by Sam Cooke… and cue the tears (again!!!) I used to sing this song with my grandfather when I was little. It brought back every memory of his radiant joy and warmth. Jason, I don’t know how you do it, but you read my heart every single time!!!! Thank you for welcoming me into your NYC community and creating a space full of love, growth, and support🫶 Moral of the story is, of course, to go dance around today because it makes the world a better place 🥰🤸‍♀️ Choreographer: @thejasonwilliamsexperience Dancer: @meghan.baileyy @meghanbaileydance Videographer: @_taylor_hutchison Song: #SamCooke 📍: @stepsonbroadway #meghanbailey #thislittlelightofmine #dancenyc taken in New York, New York by @meghan.baileyy
