🎶🎻💗🎙️

i gave my last choir concert today, in Ireland 🇮🇪

for as long as i can remember, music has always been part of my life.

on the first day of kindergarten, the class “special” was music, and i was instantly hooked. music has been my first love ever since.

in second grade, i begged and begged to play the violin. what started as an 8-year-old me wanting to play a graceful instrument turned into a lifelong passion that i still love 14 years later. thank you Ms. Liz for being such an important part of my musical story. i’ll never be able to fully express the impact you’ve had on me, so I hope a simple thank you will suffice💗

to the Philadelphia Girls Choir, thank you for challenging me, shaping me, and helping me grow into the musician i am today. being a PGC alumna remains one of my proudest accomplishments.

when i arrived at High Point University, i wasn’t sure what music would look like in college. on a whim, i auditioned for Chamber Singers my freshman year, never thinking i was good enough. four years later, that one decision led to some of my closest friendships, incredible opportunities, and memories i will cherish forever.

thank you, Dr. Foster, for taking a chance on 18-year-old me and giving me a forever home.

and to my Offbeats family, three years would never be enough. i love making music, but even more than that, i love making music with you. i’ll be your biggest fan in the audience next year.

18-year-old me and 22-year-old me are in the same place: knowing music will always be part of my life, even if i don’t yet know what that will look like in this next chapter.

here’s to the friendships, opportunities, and memories music has given me, and to the lifetime ahead.
