A year and a half ago, when I got introduced to Colby’s family, I finally felt like I had the little sister I always wanted. I’m so glad I was awake to answer the phone on Tuesday night, I’m so glad I got to tell Callie I love her one more time. I’ll miss your laugh and screaming One Margarita while Nana cringes at the words more than anything Callie Marie. Please continue to pray for and support her family as they cope with this unimaginable pain. Tell your friends you love them, and hold your family close 🩷 I will spend the rest of my life wondering why this had to happen to such beautiful people. by @meghan.ski

I have something to say!

Today we are celebrating Webster and Stella’s gotcha day! I have had (and loved) dogs my entire life, but never had a rescue until last year.

Rescuing, and subsequently volunteering with @loveandrescue has been the single most rewarding thing I have ever done. I have pulled a dog near death off the street, transported a dog almost two hours so she could have a place to stay, nursed my own dog back to health as I fostered her, and connected dogs to their forever families.

Especially in Houston, shelters are more full than ever and rescues are in desperate need. I highly encourage everyone to volunteer at their local rescue. It could change your life, as it has changed mine. I wouldn’t have the job, friends, or furry family that I do now if I hadn’t taken the opportunity to. by @meghan.ski
