Deep down, I’m still just a “child” that never had enough time with her mom. Not enough I love you’s exchanged. Not enough conversations had. Not enough life lived side by side. All the chapters she’s missed/will miss. Moments I wish she was (t)here. Moments when I need(ed) her. The broken version of me I can’t seem to fix. It’s a loss that never leaves you. It lingers. It echoes. Every day I’m reminded of your absence. But as much as grief breaks you, it’s the price “paid” for love. It’s also the reminder that just as the loss never leaves, lingers or echoes - so does (the) love. Happy Mother’s Day, Ma. I miss you, always. I love you, forever. 🫂 by @megs.razon

It’s hard to imagine that it’s been 9 years. I’ve been homesick for a person I never saw again and a version of me that died with you. Losing you was losing me. I believe that you never fully heal from grief/grieving. You don’t “move on” in the sense that people think you should or do. You carry it with you every single day and every single moment of your life. It changes the way you look at the world so drastically. It changes 𝙮𝙤𝙪 so drastically. Things, people, places that once used to be so colorful always seem a little gray. Life really has a way of checking you. Lately it’s been extremely difficult to find things and/or reasons to keep me going. But I’m doing my best. I just wish you were here helping me navigate everything. Especially because it’s been so heavy. I love you, mom. I miss you more than words could ever express. I’ll always look for you in the tulips. 🫂 by @megs.razon
