Knowing what you deserve changes what you're willing to entertain. The real shift is when your standards stop being negotiable 🧡 by @megscolby

Being 40 is confusing.

On paper, I’m40.

At a concert, I’m 25.

After 9 p.m., I’m 84.

When I tryto get upoff the floor, I’m 97.

But when theplaylist takes me
back to2005, suddenly I’m19
and ready togo out. 😂

Another meaningful day doing what I love and helping others 🌳🤍🙏🕊️ by @megscolby

Investing small amounts of money into myself every day to support my nervous system when it comes to the bigger picture.

I started this in June 2025 with just 50 cents a day. It helped me build the habit of actually looking at my bank account daily. Not avoiding it. Not guessing. Really seeing it. I became more comfortable with where my money was going and committed to a small, achievable goal.

Now, nearly a year later, I am investing 15 dollars a day into myself and into my investing account. That has opened the door for me to put money into things I have wanted to be part of, like crypto, learning, and other small but purposeful investments.

The thing about money, at least in my opinion, is that if you do not know where it is going, whether you are spending it, saving it, or losing it, you do not really know how to handle it.

This all started after I watched a short video about investing 50 cents into yourself daily for nine weeks. The point was awareness. You had to look at your accounts every day. You had to face it. That alone changed everything for me.

I could see what I was spending. I cleaned up my habits. I noticed where I could cut back on subscriptions and the little things that were adding up. I set a daily goal and slowly trained my nervous system to feel safe being involved with my money instead of avoiding it.

Here is how I built it up
👉 50 cents for 9 weeks
👉 1 dollar for about 14 weeks
👉 3 dollars for about 9 weeks
👉 5 dollars for about 8 weeks
👉 12 dollars for about 3 weeks

And now I am at 15 dollars a day, which is where I am staying for now

That is 5,475 dollars a year. Around 105 dollars a week.

This gives me the freedom to invest in myself. Upskilling, learning, buying into things like gold, silver, crypto, or even learning the stock market, which I am doing right now after investing in a course.

This time felt different. I did not start and stop like I have in the past. I knew I needed to change how I felt about money, how I saw it, and how I interacted with it.

I have always been able to save when I had to. But I can also spend without thinking, especially on the small things.

Today’s thought…04.05.2026

Why do we, as a human race, put so much emphasis on drama? Drama in our lives, drama in what we watch on TV or in movies, drama in the media. Why is drama the currency of people’s so-called happiness?

I don’t have the answers. I have been caught up in drama before, and I am sure I will again. But why is it what gets highlighted instead of things like good money habits, emotional intelligence, or how to get yourself out of a toxic relationship? Why don’t we focus on the good things people, or we ourselves, do daily instead of constantly highlighting the bad?

Maybe it is the dopamine hit we get from it, but the crash afterward just sucks.

I watched a movie the other night, one I had seen before, a really bad rom-com, and it showcased all the wrong things. It showed walking away without communicating, pettiness between women, people tearing each other down, ratings being more important than real human connection, and being an influencer valued more than genuine conversation or humanness. It was everything that feels wrong. And yet, I still watched it, just to have something on while I sat on my phone playing a game.

It got me thinking. We put so much energy into things that don’t actually bring us joy. They show us the harsher, meaner side of life, and I understand that exists, but why can’t we have more TV shows or movies that teach us how to be better humans? How to be emotionally intelligent, how to communicate, how to be kind and courteous, even to people we don’t necessarily like. The same goes for our leaders and governments, why is there so much arguing and pettiness instead of accountability and real progress?

What would our world look like if humans could take accountability for their actions? We still haven’t learned, even after around 300,000 years on this planet, from our earliest human societies to the rise and fall of civilizations like Ancient Egypt and Ancient Rome, and even after events like World War II, we have not truly grown as a society or as caretakers of it.

My Monday thoughts… what’s yours?

2025, what a ride, right? In the best way possible, for so many reasons.

So, thank you 2025 for the expansion. The hard hitting moments. The courage to explore the depths of my own character.

If I did not decide in March to move back home to my parents, close my business due to my awareness and my need to remain in integrity, and become sick to the point where my body was shutting down, I would not be in the frequency and awe of myself that I am today.

The level of awareness I now hold for myself is extraordinary ✨️

The year of the Snake 🐍 was mind blowing 🤯 in such a powerful and potent way. I walked my talk and left nothing on the table. I walked freely into my own truth, into the embodiment of me, and unplugged from the systems that were holding me energetically captive.

I have been quietly building my future energetically, and I can say with certainty that my hard work is paying off and will continue to do so.

So again, thank you 🙏 2025, as you did not disappoint.

2026, the year of the Fire Horse, is a powerful year for so many. Lean into the vibrational frequency of you, your organic blueprint. The Earth has shifted its energetic octave, and so will you.

Embrace the flow of life. I encourage you all to learn emotional intelligence, self awareness, nervous system regulation, and to be kinder to yourself above all else.

Hold space for love for this life we get to create with passion, purpose, and power.

To create a life we can truly be proud of and allow a lasting positive impact.

You create your own reality each day. What are you willing to choose!!!

Love Megan, and the year that was 2025! Xx by @megscolby
