I’m back with new art!!😆 Please allow me to yap a little bit about this new piece :3
I created this in November 2025, right after I got back home from LightBox expo where I got to meet a lot of awesome artists and see their cool art! I felt inspired to create a new piece that’s out of my comfort zone and decided to create an environment-heavy piece, which is different from my usual character focused pieces. This piece is inspired by my walk to school when I used to live in Nagasaki since I really miss being there and the memories attached to it.
In terms of the process of making this piece, I am genuinely so inexperienced with painting backgrounds so I used to avoid it as much as I could, but I finally gathered the courage to make a piece like this because for the past year or so, @asa_compton and I have had many art sessions where we were drawing alongside each other and I would sometimes take a break from my drawing and watch him paint and I think doing that made me subconsciously absorb his techniques and approach, which helped me a lot. He also gave me a lot of good and helpful insight as I was working on the piece as well so a big shout out to Asa!!❤️ I was also remembering a lot of concepts from a color script class I took in college by @yaraef and the things I had learned from that class about composition, value, etc. were also super helpful to approach this piece, so thank you Yara!☺️ This piece has made me gain new confidence for tackling subjects out of my comfort zone, and I’m inspired to improve even more from here onwards! And lastly, thanks to everyone who bought this print at my last 2 art fairs, I had some great conversations with people about this piece!🥺💕 by @megt.artwork

Hey guys~!! Since I haven’t posted my work in a while, I wanted to show you guys what I’ve been working on in my color scripts class recently!!
We’ve been doing these movie studies where we take a screenshot from a movie scene and study the color and lighting and draw simplified versions of them! I also included one museum study on the last slide, which is a similar concept but instead of a movie scene, it’s about studying values/value groupings based from artworks found in a museum.
Even though color scripts class is almost over, I think I’ll benefit a lot from doing more of these kind of studies in the future and I recommend other artists to give it a try!!😄😄 by @megt.artwork

Just like every other artist on this app, I am obsessed with Spiderverse and made fan art for it (You could say it’s a canon event!😉) If you’ve seen the movie, you’d know there’s a lot of different art styles incorporated into the movie so I tried to mix and match some techniques/styles for this Gwen drawing! If you haven’t watched it yet, I highly recommend it!! :D

Hi! I’m back with the part 2 of my character design! This time, some quick line of action sketches!! I think I still need to practice a lot on these, and as everyone always says about line of action, you can always push it further so I’ll keep that in mind moving forward😄 Which pose is your favorite??🤔

(🇺🇸)Hello my friends~! I made this character for my animation class, with the plan of using this character for upcoming animation projects!🤭Drew some turnaround, made sure the silhouette is recognizable, and drew some expressions on second slide! This is what I turned in and I got some feedback so I’ll definitely be readjusting the character a bit here and there! Also made sure to keep the character simple so I can animate her easily!✅
