5 years today we lost you.A man whose presence alone could lift a room.You had a way of making everyone smile always laughing, always light-hearted, always putting others before yourself. You worked hard never complained and carried responsibility with quiet strength. No matter what you were dealing with you showed up for people and made their days brighter just by being you. You loved your mum deeply. One of the last things you said to me was to look after her and told me how much you loved me. Little did I know that would be the last time I would ever speak to you but those words have stayed with me ever since.It’s not easy I have good days and bad days and I still struggle at times but I try, I try to live in a way that would make you proud I try to carry your kindness, strength and your work ethic with me every day.I see you so clearly in your mum her strength, her patience and her resilience. Being able to care for her now is something I’m truly grateful for. It feels like honouring you and continuing the love you lived by.May Allah grant you the highest rank in Jannah, surround you with mercy and light, and reunite us in the hereafter.
