Goodnight Lily, a boy had a best friend in a dog and you gave that you gave to me.

When we went to Petsmart before a Hickory Crawdads “Bark in The Park” game in 2011, all we were looking for was a leash for Molly. You came tearing ass out of that kennel and tackled me, and from then on you were always mine and I was always yours. From winning the “Best Lookalike” contest that afternoon we got you, to you playing with deer that used to roam the neighborhood and making friends with them, to you digging your head in the sand at the beach and just running, to your motherly instinct and love for any animal that needed it, to your cuddles, to your lick attacks, to our adventures, to you Lily, it’s always been you and forever will be as long as there is energy on this earth.

I love you lily, staring into your eyes and knowing I was there for you when you left is a memory I’ll hold dear until I leave this plane of existence. Everything about you I will hold dear and clear in my heart.
