I stitched a set of August Morgan coasters five years ago. Lauren introduced me to Water N’ Ice—and I loathed it on sight.
They were an odd size by the standards of the time: 5” × 5”, stubbornly out of step with most needlepoint coasters. I couldn’t find a proper acrylic tray anywhere, and leather finishing was never an option. So they languished.
And then—by some minor act of sorcery—Jenny found the exact tray I need to finish this on Amazon.
Thus history advances. I finally (with only moderate terror) finished the first coaster entirely on my own. One down, three more to go. by @meimeitou25

Chloe—my one and only—crossed the threshold of middle school carrying an old soul in young hands. An old-school scholar with quiet confidence, sharp wit, and a steady presence that never asks for attention but always earns it. Thoughtful, observant, and just stubborn enough to do things her own way—and do them well.
Entirely herself, down to the details. She hates shopping, despite everything I’ve tried to pass down about style and wardrobe. She chooses substance over show, every time.
She leaves with five honors—among them the Francine and John Barnes Award for the highest academic average and the Todd O’Neill Award for excellence across scholarship, athletics, citizenship, and service. Two paths rarely walked together—she made them one.
I’m not one to brag—but this moment calls for it.

18 years of Lady Gaga in my life and I'm still reeling.
From The Fame Ball in 2009 to The Monster Ball Tour and The Born This Way Ball... like, how did this become my entire personality?
Going to the Mayhem Ball with Chloe and Abby felt surreal. And then Chloe shows up in the exact outfit I wore in 2010... 😭
Anyway... emotionally stable? no. grateful? very. ⚔️✨

Some stories come back to you every year. 🎶
The Sound of Music—Chinese New Year as a kid, Christmas now with Chloe.
These favorite thing club ornaments from @stlneedlepoint and @sequinlalastitches are the most meaningful I’ve ever stitched. Every stitch was savored.
I finished all of them the “right” way thanks to @girlwithacurlneedlepoint @ndlptmartha @foamyfinger backed with fabrics from @crimsontate , and wrapped up all 12 in just two weeks.
