Man plans. God laughs.

What was supposed to be our wedding in Israel was cancelled because of the war, and from there, life took us somewhere we could have never planned.

A little chaos, a lot of faith, one spontaneous decision… and somehow, everything fell into place.

Looking back, I’m grateful for all of it. The good, the hard, the unexpected, every part of the journey that brought us here.

But more than anything, I’m grateful for my wife.

Darya, through every curveball, every change of plans and every moment where we had no idea what was coming next, you never lost yourself. You kept us grounded, kept finding reasons to laugh, and somehow made even the craziest moments feel like we were exactly where we needed to be.

Going through all of this with you made me even more sure of the woman I chose to do life with.

And to our people who, after everything, still dropped everything, crossed oceans, changed plans and absolutely missioned to be there with us, we’ll never forget it. Having you there meant more than you know.

Those who know, know.

Not the wedding we planned.
Maybe the one we were always meant to have.

What a story. What a week. What a woman. What a way to start forever. by @meirazerad

This morning the owners of @noammtl_ ,Ynon Cohen and @meirazerad agreed to meet me in front of their business that was the victim of an arson attack early Saturday morning. Our hearts go out to them. Police are investigating the torching of the premises and it there is no concrete proof this was a hate crime. What are the odds that it was? You be the judge. #noam #montrealkosher #montrealfood #montrealfire #montrealcrimes by @meirazerad
