Sometimes, you just have to drive a little deeper into the woods to find what the city makes you forget.

900 km in one week! 🚙🌲

A journey deep into the woods, far from crowded cities, exploring two of Italy’s most beautiful national parks: Pollino, in Basilicata and Calabria, and Sila, in Calabria. 🌿

Peaceful lakes, ancient trees, winding mountain roads, quiet forests, and nights spent under the stars. A car, a rooftop tent, a ground tent, and the freedom to explore.

Two people, one week on the road, and around €300 in total, just €150 each. Fuel, food, and everything else included. Honestly, we probably would have spent a similar amount staying at home, but we wouldn't have collected nearly as many memories.

Less city life, more wild places. More stars, more fresh air, and more moments worth remembering. ✨🏕️

Maybe the best way to spend your money is to trade comfort for an adventure.

No sleep. No regrets. 🌈

🇬🇧 We spent the whole night photographing under the stars at Tre Cime, and by morning we were completely exhausted. But with a little parking time left, we sent our drones up for one last flight and the mountains gifted us this view: golden peaks, drifting clouds and a rainbow over the Dolomites. 🏔️
Sometimes, the last shot is the one you never planned for. 🍀

🇮🇹 Abbiamo passato tutta la notte a fotografare sotto le stelle alle Tre Cime e, al mattino, eravamo completamente esausti. Ma avevamo ancora un po’ di tempo prima di lasciare il parcheggio, così abbiamo fatto volare i droni per un’ultima volta.
E le montagne ci hanno regalato questa vista: cime dorate, nuvole in movimento e un arcobaleno sulle Dolomiti. 🏔️
A volte, l’ultimo scatto è proprio quello che non avevi mai programmato. 🍀

2800 km, 15 days, and a road trip filled with memories I’ll never forget.

Taking advantage of the July 2026 new moon, I decided to take the longest road trip of my life, from the very south of Italy to the northernmost parts of the country, going from the calm blue sea of Puglia to the spectacular green mountains of the #Dolomites.

• Since the journey north was too long to do in one go, my first stop was Campo Imperatore, where I enjoyed some delicious arrosticini, photographed the sunset and night sky, and enjoyed camping there.

• The following day, I continued north towards the magical Lago di Carezza, which became the starting point of my Dolomites #adventure.

• I spent about a week in the Dolomites, with the main goal of photographing the night sky while enjoying the incredible landscapes during the day.

• My original plan was to spend a week in the Dolomites and the rest of the trip in Tuscany. But the high temperatures in Tuscany made me change my plans, so I decided to stay in the Dolomites for the rest of the trip, a decision I definitely don’t regret!

• On the way back to Puglia, I made two more stops: #Castelluccio, to explore its beautiful plains, and #Castrovalva, a charming little mountain village.

• The biggest expense of the trip was, of course, fuel. Food, highway tolls and parking also added up, but I spent absolutely nothing on accommodation. My tent turned out to be more than comfortable enough, even through some seriously heavy rain.

It was an incredible experience: 2,800 km of roads, mountains, stars, rain, sunsets, #camping, and countless little moments along the way.

A trip that truly refreshed my soul.

And honestly… I’d do it all over again. 🌌🗻 🚗 taken in Italy by @meiti_it
