I’ll always be in the mood for a warm, cozy bowl of clam chowder..🥣 Clam chowder: (Serves 4–6) ▫4 thick slices cut bacon, chopped ▫2 small onions ▫3 celery sticks (about 3/4 cup) ▫5 tbsp salted butter ▫1 tsp granulated garlic ▫1/2 tsp salt ▫1 tsp dried thyme ▫1/2 tsp dried rosemary (crushed between your palms) ▫1/10 tsp white pepper ▫1/2 cup all-purpose flour ▫3.5 cups whole milk ▫2 cans (6oz each) minced clams (drained; save the liquid) ▫3 medium (I used 6 small) russet potatoes, peeled and diced to make about 3.5 cups Directions: 1. Render the bacon over medium heat until crispy. 2. Add in the salted butter, along with the diced onion and celery. Sauté for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are soft and translucent. 3. Add the seasonings and sprinkle 1/2 cup of flour and stir constantly for 2 minutes. 4. Add in the whole milk and all of the liquid saved the 2 clam cans into the pot. Whisk vigorously to combine everything into a creamy broth. 5. Toss in the potatoes and keep the heat on medium-low so the soup stays at a gentle simmer. Cook for 12-15 minutes, stirring frequently, until the potatoes are fork-tender. 6. Turn the heat down to low and stir in the clam meat. Let the chowder heat through for just 3 minutes so it doesn’t overcook. Add more salt to taste if you’d like and remove from stove and enjoy! #clamchowder #chowder #soup #recipe #asmr by @meiyee247
Another day, another sip! 🥭🍊Today we’re trying @leisureproject.co “Tropical Mango” electrolyte refresher and pairing it with a squeeze of tangerine and “Orange Starburst Bliss” Soda Boba from the brand Bossen. What I love: •It’s super REFRESHING and the mango flavor is great •The can has 700mg electrolytes and 10 vitamins and minerals + magnesium & adaptogens. •Love the cute design of the can & all the fun flavors! The Soda Boba was the perfect pairing too. They’re also my favorite bursting bobas and they have other flavors too, but this was is my favorite. Add heart-shaped ice cubes and a cute garnish for good vibes..✌️ Not an ad, just love sharing! 🙂 #drink #thirsty #mango #electrolytes #asmr by @meiyee247
My favorite Apple Pie 🍎🥧 I’ve made this several times the past month and it’s just my favorite way to eat apples now (haha) but really, I love me a comforting slice of pie and I really like how this one is just the perfect amount of sweetness. Your kitchen is also going to smell amazing! Crust: (I’m using a Martha Stewart’s pie crust recipe, but I use 1 stick of unsalted butter and 1 salted butter, so I omitted adding extra salt) ▫2 ½ cups all-purpose flour ▫1 teaspoon sugar ▫2 sticks chilled unsalted + salted butter, cut into pieces (If using unsalted, then add 1 tsp salt) ▫1/2 cup ice water Filling: ▫1 stick butter (I used salted) ▫5 apples (I used local red apples from WA) ▫1/4 cup brown sugar ▫1/4 cup white sugar ▫1/4 cup flour ▫1 tsp cinnamon ▫1/4 tsp nutmeg ▫1 tsp vanilla bean paste 1. Prepare your pie crust and add cold water slowly to form a 2 solid disks. Wrap tightly in plastic, and refrigerate until firm, at least 1 hour. 2. Melt your stick of butter. Slice your apples and toss in the pan to coat with the butter. 3. Add in your mix (brown sugar, white sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg) and vanilla bean paste. You can any vanilla extract as well but I highly suggest the bean paste. 4. Take out chill pie crust and roll it flat to 2 circles the best you can. Add the first circle in the base and add on the filling. Top it with the second circle (customize to your liking) and pinch the ends with a fork. Optionally sprinkle the top with more cinnamon and sugar. 5. Bake at 350 for about 45 minutes. Let cool slightly and enjoy! #applepie #applepie🍎 #pie #recipe #asmr by @meiyee247
Easy slow cooker Asian style chuck roast for dinner 🥩 Chuck roast: Season to your liking - I used a generous amount of sea salt, pepper and garlic powder. Sear on all sides until golden. Add your grated garlic and water about halfway to your meat. Veggies: Add your vegs of choice, I’m using carrots and half an onion. I added some gochujang, ssamjang, apple sauce, worcestershire, soy sauce, honey and a rosemary. I let mine cook in my ninja slow cooker for about 5 hours. Sides: I like to add some purple rice to my rice for extra antioxidants and texture. I also like adding fresh cucumbers and lettuce for extra crunch. #slowcooker #slowcookerrecipes #ninja #chuckroast #amsr by @meiyee247
Mini Protein Cheesecake Bites with Cherry 🍒 Base: ▫1-2 tbsp butter (I use salted) ▫1 cup crush graham crackers ▫1 tbsp sugar Cheesecake Filling ▫8 oz low-fat cream cheese (room temp)  ▫3 tbsp sugar ▫1 scoop vanilla whey protein ▫1 tsp vanilla bean paste or extract  ▫1 egg Cherry Topping ▫Handful of cherries ▫2 tbsp sugar ▫Dash of water ▫Slurry paste to thicken: 1 tbsp cornstarch, dash of water Par bake the graham cracker base at 325 for about 7-8 minutes and let cool for about 10 minutes. Add the cheesecake filling and continue baking for 15-20 minutes (the centers slightly jiggle). Cool at room temperature for at least 30 minutes, then into the fridge for at least 2-3 hours before or overnight for the best texture. Optionally, add your cherry jam on top and sprinkle with crushed biscuits and enjoy. I love that it’s the perfect amount of sweetness and you could use sugar-free sugar if you’d like. I loved this quick & easy recipe so I also have a strawberry protein cheesecake coming soon! #cheesecake #protein #cherry #recipe #asmr by @meiyee247
I love me a fresh cobbler..so let’s make a single-serve blackberry cobbler that’s ready in 10 mins in the airfryer using the blackberries I foraged in my backyard..😍 I actually recently discovered the amount of blackberries all over WA and since blackberry season is coming to an end..I finally decided to pick up some fresh blackberries while I can today! Blackberry filling ▫1 cup fresh blackberries
▫1 tablespoon granulated sugar
▫1 tsp lemon juice
▫¾ teaspoon cornstarch
Cobbler topping ▫2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
▫2 tbsp sugar
▫4 tbsp AP flour
▫½ tsp baking powder
▫1 tsp vanilla bean paste or vanilla extract
Airfry at 310 for 10 minutes or when the top is golden. Optionally, sprinkle some cinnamon sugar at the top (If you want to make a small batch: 1 tbsp sugar + 3/4 tsp cinnamon) Let it cool for at least 15 minutes (to let the top crisp up) and enjoy! (I couldn’t help but dived right in there). 📌 Bookmark this for when you need a quick, foolproof dessert!

♥️ Grateful for the last couple of weeks with my mother-in-law visiting us from Turkey. It was so nice to reset and enjoy being in the moment together. She also prepared so many delicious, authentic Turkish dishes and of course - I HAD to watch and take notes from her. I always love watching the pros in the kitchen. It’s a form of art to me. You can really taste when it’s made with love - I hope to be able to cook like her one day. She also brought us so much goodies including the fruits from her own tree..it absolutely amazed me and I wish I had my own garden now! Teşekkür ederiz @dilek.kaptann, sizi seviyoruz! ♥️ by @meiyee247
Everything we ate during our short weekend in Portland: (As shown) (1) Small Pharoh’s: @smallpharaohspdx •Lamb over rice and combo plate What I thought: I love the lamb! Lamb over rice is always one of my favorite meals and this one was as fresh as it gets! The combo plate was also a great option if you want both lamb + chicken and it includes hummus. (2-3) Nong’s Khao Man Gai: @nongskhaomangai •Thai Lime Iced Tea and Thai Iced Tea •Khao Man Gai (large size) - Chicken, rice, chicken liver, sauce and soup on the side. What I thought: The Thai like ice tea was refreshing and I enjoyed the kick with the lime. The Khao Man Gai was recommended and seemed to be the most popular dish on the menu - it was delicious and filling, we dipped the chicken in the soup broth and also enjoyed the sauce on the side with some heat. The larger size option is great to share with 2 people. (4) Spielman Bagels and Coffee Roasters @spielmanbagelspdx •Egg & Cheese Sandwich on a Seasame and Salt & Herb Bagel What I thought: The bagels tasted fresh and I particularly enjoyed the salt & herb bagel, the egg frittata patty was different and you have the option to add cheddar or Swiss cheese. At $7.50, this was a quick and affordable breakfast. (5) And of course…we can never say no when there’s an In & Out in the neighborhood! @innout (6) Lastly, thank you @doubletree for these fresh cookies! I’ve heard of these cookies in the past but this was my first time trying them and they definitely helped us get us through the weekend! #portlandeats #food #foodie #whatieatinaday #eats by @meiyee247
