“She’s the strongest woman I know”

Commonly heard , often said , rarely understood.

If only they knew what strength truly felt like to the woman forced to carry their crown knowing it’s battered and broken with missing jewels. If only they recognized how heavy this strength is to carry and how it’s barely allocated to rare woman but shared amongst us from the second we are born.

It’s looking at your new born baby girl and knowing that if you don’t remind her of the strength she has to carry through her life time you may not have a baby girl for longer than you can physically protect. It’s ensuring she knows to pick up her crown and wear it with pride no matter what it’s condition may be and still call it “beautiful” ensuring to encourage yourself to believe that it truly is.

She is strength.
Strong because she has to be.
Brave because the world doesn’t leave space for anything less and still beats at her for being “too brave”

Too loud.
Too confident.
Too honest.
Too attractive.

And don’t be fooled by your fellow woman who will occasionally beat at you too but I urge you to help her pick up her crown. Because you can never be too kind.

Often said , commonly heard but rarely understood by those who don’t feel the weight of what strength truly means when you are a woman.
