the summer that changed my life, and the strangers that turned into family. 🖤

I still can’t wrap my head around how incredibly blessed I am to have had this opportunity. not just because it’s my favorite tv show. not just because it was a paid vacation to malaysia. not just because it’s netflix.

but because this experience truly healed me. in ways I didn’t even know I needed.
I arrived in malaysia ready to prove to myself that I was still capable of hard things.

and I found that, but I also found so much more than that. I found parts of myself that I thought were lost. I found renewed joy, courage, confidence, resilience, and perspective. I felt like my old self for the first time in a long time. I felt my inner child cheering.

and I found a group of people that I couldn’t have done it without. cast, crew, locals. that each touched me and educated me in such profound ways. I’ll speak to them individually but for now, I just want to say thank you thank you thank you. I can’t express the admiration, the inspiration, I’ve received from each of you.

and to @eureka.productions , @netflix , and @kassting - I’m forever grateful for taking a chance on me, and giving me the greatest experience of my life. 🖤🖤🖤 taken in Malaysia by @mel.lummus

Tina is doing okay! 🧡 as most of you know, she has had health issues since the day we became family 6 years ago. Last summer was scary. We had another big scare this month. But this little orange girl is resilient! I believe in her, and every day we get together is the best day. by @mel.lummus

Last night was a Dinner Party dreams are made of 😍 Chef Mei Lin came to Nashville for a thoughtful & intimate gathering benefitting “No Kid Hungry”, and alongside Nashville’s own Derek Simcik, designed & served a 5-course menu that was out of this world. In the private dining room at the Four Seasons, each course had a wine/sake pairing beautifully curated by Master of Sake, Stuart Morris. It was a family-style dinner, so after being greeted by the night’s host Nishaan Chavda who set the tone perfectly, we shared laughter and stories all inspired by one thing - community. Our menu’s were also returned to all of us signed by the team as the night ended. Thanks to everyone for such an incredible evening - and of course - we had to make sure Mei left with a token of thanks, in the form of Nashville’s patron saint… Dolly Parton. ♥️

I got invited to be 1 of 4 players to compete in a pinball tournament for ESPN at the iconic Stern Factory in Chicago. 🖤 Here’s a short clip! (Not spoiling outcomes yet). It was an honor to get to film this special with 3 of the best ranked players in the world (who I also just genuinely adore as human beings) and watching it back feels like an SNL sketch but if there’s one takeaway….. ALWAYS SAY YES TO THINGS YOU WANT EVEN IF YOU’RE SCARED. Imposter syndrome is a waste of our energy. Let’s have some fun instead. 💫

Just another Bonnie & Daniel appreciation post because I found this today from a Disney trip last year and well….. it’s a pretty accurate representation of what these two friends add to my life 😂 taken in The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror by @mel.lummus

Very Merry UNbirthday because this is over 6 months delayed but the highlight of my year. 🎂 I’m not known for big birthday parties - the year before this one I went to Ireland by myself haha. BUT last November I really felt the urge to celebrate. And specifically wanted to gather my favorite people to my favorite place. @sidgoldsnashville is a second home to me in Nashville and so gathering friends & family there was the best gift I could have.
With @kirasmall creating magic and running the music room, Glen running the bar, my dear friends @aaronmrobinson & @eliot.hinson with a special musical moment not featured here because I was crying instead of filming, my mom @lisamcbrannan by my side, my LA bestie @therealdavegeis who came all the way to celebrate…… let’s just say I’ll remember this night forever. taken in Sid Gold's Nashville by @mel.lummus
