I’ve learned something about revenge…

I don’t have to get even.
I don’t have to prove my side.
I don’t have to return the hurt.
And I definitely don’t have to become bitter trying to make someone feel what they made me feel.

God already told me how to handle it:

“Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.” — Romans 12:19

So I’m choosing peace.

Forgiveness doesn’t mean what happened was okay.
Grace doesn’t mean unlimited access.
And being a Christian doesn’t mean I can’t have boundaries.

Sometimes the most powerful response is to step away, stay quiet, pray, and let God handle what was never mine to carry.

No revenge. No retaliation. No matching energy.

📚 4 books that genuinely changed my life.

Not because they taught me how to have a perfect life—but because they helped me understand the one I’ve lived.

✨ Forgiving What You Can’t Forget — taught me that forgiveness doesn’t mean what happened was okay. Sometimes forgiveness is simply choosing not to let the hurt keep owning pieces of you.

🧠 The Body Keeps the Score — helped me understand that we don’t just remember difficult experiences in our minds. Our bodies can carry what we’ve survived, too.

🤍 Let Them — reminded me to stop exhausting myself trying to control how other people think, act, love, leave, misunderstand, or disappoint me. Let them. And then decide what you are going to do.

🌿 Braving the Wilderness — taught me that belonging doesn’t come from fitting in. Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is stand alone and still remain true to who you are.

These books didn’t change my past.

They changed the way I carry it.

And that changed me. ❤️

The older I get, the more I realize how precious it is to still have you here—to laugh with, call anytime, make memories with, and watch you love my children so deeply.

So much of who I am came from you—my strength, my love for family, and yes, probably my stubbornness too. 😂

🔥 Buffalo Chicken Dip

Ingredients

* 4 cans chicken, drained
* 1 pkg. Philadelphia cream cheese
* 1 cup blue cheese
* 3 cups buffalo sauce
* 4 Tbsp. hot sauce
* 1 cup Colby Jack, shredded
* 1 cup cheddar, shredded

Directions

Mix chicken, cream cheese, blue cheese, buffalo sauce, and hot sauce. Top with Colby Jack and cheddar.

Bake at 400°F for 25 minutes.
