In today’s world, a WELLNESS CHECK is more than necessary—it’s essential. 🌿🤎 The world is heavy, and sometimes it feels like it has us all in a chokehold. Between the pressure, uncertainty, and constant demands of everyday life, we can become so focused on surviving that we forget to check in with ourselves and the people we love.

At Melanated Diverse Queens, we believe wellness is more than a moment—it’s a continuous commitment to our mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. 👑✨ Check on your strong friends. Check on your family. Check on YOU. Give yourself permission to pause, breathe, heal, and ask for support. You don’t have to carry everything alone.

Your wellness matters. Your peace matters. YOU matter. 🤎

I know it’s been forever but part of healing is taking time for yourself. Here’s a recap of @brandy Phase book tour. A time was had at @brooklynparamount

#brandy #melanin#melanateddiversequeens #viral #phasebooktour by @melanateddiversequeens

I almost didn’t post this… because 2022–2025 tested me in ways I never imagined.

A severe TBI from a reckless driver.
Homelessness.
Knee surgery after being misdiagnosed—until I chose to advocate for myself.
The loss of my mother.
And the hard truth of seeing people for who they really are.

But here’s what matters…

I didn’t stay there.

I chose healing.
I chose truth.
I chose me—mentally, physically, and spiritually.

And now? There’s no turning back.

✨ I put in the work:
• Committed to therapy and faced myself fully
• Rebuilt my strength through physical therapy
• Relearned how to speak and walk with confidence
• Became a Mental Health & Wellness Mediator for youth—helping save lives
• Supported unhoused women in finding balance and protecting their mental health
• Continued creating and healing through spoken word projects

I didn’t just survive—I transformed. And if my story can remind even one person that healing is possible, then every step was worth it.

Being a Melanated Diverse Queen is not to bash each other,
I am here to expose who you are as the Queen you are,
What you become,
And what you overcame!
It’s more than a shoot it is to display how strong we are as we push through despite what we’ve dealt with throughout the silence.

Telling my story has been a journey, but I feel it's essential to share this: you can't effectively help others with mental health and wellness if you're not taking care of yourself first.

Since 2023, I finally got the proper diagnosis for my knee injury after feeling misled and misdiagnosed for far too long. I realized it was time for a change, so I sought out new doctors and specialists—specifically, melanin-rich healthcare professionals who truly had my best interests at heart. They were informative and supportive, guiding me every step of the way.

Trust your intuition! It makes all the difference. 💪✨ #TellingMyStory #Advocate #NYULangone #PreSurgery #BelieveInYourself #Melanin #FYP #Misdiagnosed #Health #Wellness #OrthopedicDoctor #OrthopedicSurgeon #MelanatedDiverseQueens #intuition #keepfaith #spreadawarenessnotfear #spreadawareness by @melanateddiversequeens

Your melanin is the beacon of light, don’t take it for granted 🙌🏾🤎🌹
