This is Sophie’s Pink 🎀

A retired Mélange color, created years ago a named for my youngest daughter, who turns 18 tomorrow.

Watching your daughter become a woman makes you look at the world differently.

Lately, I’m thinking about women. About our daughters, sisters and mothers. About how very much women carry; quietly, constantly, often without anyone ever seeing the weight of it. About the injustices we witness and the things happening around us that can leave us feeling heartbroken, angry, and sometimes powerless.

There will be no peace until there is justice.

We may not be able to right every wrong. We cannot protect our daughters from every hurt or carry every burden for every woman.

But we can care for one another. We can speak when something is wrong. We can raise our daughters to know their worth. And we can remember that our own lives and bodies are worthy of the same care we so freely give to everyone else.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and maybe that is one small place to begin: make the appointment. Do the screening. Pay attention to your body. Take care of yourself, too.

Tomorrow my youngest daughter turns 18.

Today I’m swatching out Sophie’s Pink and thinking about the woman she is becoming…and wishing for her, and for all of our daughters, a world that is more just and worthy of them 💕 by @melangepaints

The complete Mélange palette. 🤎

With the addition of our Salt of the Earth collection and the return of Henry’s Little Duck, the Metamorphosis Palette now includes 33 carefully curated shades—from quiet, weathered neutrals and earthy greens to deep blues, oxbloods, and near-black tones.

Every color was chosen to live beautifully alongside the others, giving you a palette that feels collected rather than crowded.

33 colors. One cohesive palette. A Curated House of Color.

Which shade are you reaching for first?

Meet Belladonna 💜🌙

A blackened plum with bruised aubergine undertones, Belladonna is a bewitching, moody hue with just the right amount of mystery.

Inspired by the darker, more enchanting side of autumn, Belladonna is made for antique furniture, atmospheric interiors, and those who like a little magic.

A little bewitching. A little romantic.
A little mysterious.

They just don’t make furniture like this anymore!

These solid wood nightstands come from an era when furniture was practically sold by the pound! Heavy, solid, and built to last.

And let me tell you… to say these beauties were NASTY when I found them would be an understatement! 😳

But good bones deserve a second chance!

With a fresh coat of Fieldnotes by Mélange Paints, a gorgeous, rich deep green, and a few elegant gold accents, these nightstands have gone from forgotten to fabulous!

They’ve already stood the test of time, and I’m betting they’re ready for another 50 years! 💚

What do you think of this transformation?

SOLD✨
Inspired by @pennollo_designs and her beautiful work with Mélange’s Dark Horse. I instantly fell in love with this rich, earthy brown. 🍂

For this mahogany MCM dresser, I paired Dark Horse on the base with a natural stained finish on the top two drawers and the top surface. The vintage gold hardware adds a cosy, timeless touch.🙂‍↔️

A little autumn warmth, with a mix of natural wood and rich colour.
