Allow me to reintroduce myself to anyone new here! I’m Melanie (Mel), or as my mum endearingly calls me, Melichip 🙄. I love being silly, dancing, socialising, smiling, and sometimes crying—though you’ll rarely see that side here.I work full-time in digital, and in between long hours, I enjoy eating, taking photos, socialising, playing piano, and attending as many dance classes as possible. My page captures just 1% of my life—the nights I go out and snap some shots. The rest is spent exercising, working, or playing with my dogs. You wouldn’t believe how many people (friends included) who think that my social media account is my actual life.When I was younger, I cared immensely about what others thought, losing sleep over their opinions. But with age, I’ve learned to only care about the opinions of those who truly matter.I’ve also made my social media space a safe environment by only following those who inspire, educate, or offer friendship. In a world full of messed-up social media, bullies, rants and negativity that can overwhelm us all, I’m here to share what I love and follow those who bring something positive to my life🌟 by @melanie_duca

A rare front-row seat to one of Japan’s most precise culinary traditions.Recently at @kurosydney, I experienced maguro no kaitai, the art of whole tuna carving, where every cut tells a story of skill, heritage and respect for the ingredient.From watching the chef break down the tuna with incredible precision, to tasting the different cuts through a beautifully curated menu, it was part performance, part dining experience, and completely unforgettable.For anyone who loves Japanese food, this is such a special way to experience the journey from ocean to plate.Kuro’s next tuna carving experiences are coming up on Tuesday 28 July and Tuesday 25 August. by @melanie_duca

Charles Leclerc at Ferrari didn’t win because of the car alone.Look at what actually goes into that result. An engineered chassis. Wheels built for the exact conditions on the day. AI systems feeding real time data to the pit wall. A pit crew executing changes in under two seconds. And a driver who can process all of it at 300km/h and still make the right call.Pull out any one of those and the whole thing falls apart….Put me in that car for example with all the same tech and you’re watching a crash, not a race!That’s AI in a business, exactly. Hand it to someone without the experience to steer it and you get a fast, polished mess. Hand it to the right driver, with the right setup around them, and it turns into an actual superpower.AI wasn’t the differentiator. The driver always was. by @melanie_duca

Built an AI marketing automation agent for a client this week…..Then sat on the floor with paper and coloured pens.The more I build with AI, the more I find myself reaching for a whiteboard, a scrap of paper, something physical.I heard a neurologist on a podcast recently talking about the brain the same way a PT talks about muscle. Use it or lose it. The capability doesn’t quietly reduce overnight. It just goes. 💪 I can automate a workflow. I can build agents that do in seconds what used to take hours. What I can’t do is shortcut the creativity, that original idea, that moment that turns what I do from just another beige moment into something of colour. 🌈 🌈 🌈 The floor time with the coloured pens isn’t nostalgia. It’s maintenance of my most precious gift and the one that supports the creativity behind what I do as a marketer.Even those automation moments. 🧠 Genuinely my favourite thing to do is whiteboarding and you’ll see me often marking up the glass doors on my study wardrobe!!Other times it’s just sitting down with pen and paperfor those moments where there’s too much going on I find just sitting outside without the disruption helps me to get a crazy amount of ideas through my headThe ultimately it’s important to feed your brain in order to make all the other stuff happen by @melanie_duca

The name of the restaurant means gluttonous, and after rolling ourselves out of the restaurant in a food coma I can understand why!! 🤗🤗We ate a lot of dishes, but the stand outs for me were definitely the Tom Yum Bombs, the selection of dumplings, the sweet, sticky, salty eggplant and who can forget the Malaysian chilli crab 🦀 If you like me and haven’t visited the Sydney fish markets or you just need another excuse to go again then definitely check out @tamjiak.sydney by @melanie_duca

There may never be the perfect time to take a leap of faith, but sometimes you’ve just got to do it anyway….For years I ummmmd and ahhhhhhd about starting my own business, but 1 year on and now this is me every morning. Relaxed, smiling, enjoying coffee with my pups. Turned out that scary leap wasn’t so scary after all 🤷🏽‍♀️ by @melanie_duca
