It’s a gift to spend time with the people you love and I am so grateful to have been able to share time with my mom and dad this past week. May we never take for granted the little things—laughing over meals, watching movies together, sharing our dreams for the future, and just enjoying each other’s company. I had the lovely privilege of spending the weekend celebrating my mom, the Birthday Queen! She turned 75 years old today and deserves all of the confetti! We had Girls’ Lunch with her friends, complete with celebratory shirts and party favors! We had matching jammies and watched movies. We had balloons and banners and it was a wonderful time to celebrate this beautiful human! I love you to the moon and back, mama, and I am SO HAPPY you were born!!!

Forgot to post this earlier but Kristopher and I had the opportunity to volunteer for the Ironman Triathlon this past weekend, and what a cool experience that was! It was sooooo early in the morning, but we got to ride a school bus and rock some flashy fashion. And most importantly, we got to support and cheer on so many inspiring humans who were just heading out to push themselves to the edge of their endurance! I was so proud of every single person out there participating. I was also very proud to be a part of such a huge volunteer team. It takes a LOT of people to make an event of this magnitude work and it was awesome to see it all go off without a hitch!

I completed my own personal triathlon by rolling out of bed at 3:30am, walking half a mile to our volunteer station, then treating myself to a delightful brunch after our shift.

Look, we’re all out here just trying our best to run our own race. Let me live.

Anyway, it was a super fun time and I would definitely do it again next year. Also, I get to say that I participated in the Ironman and if no one asks any questions, it makes me look really cool!

When you try to send flowers to your friend because you love her and want to cheer her up and instead, your @instacart shopper leaves a bag of cucumbers, Clamato, and chips on her doorstep. @erinharrison Just remember—some friends send flowers. Real friends send Clamato.

Got to have a special Via/Gigi date this weekend and it filled my heart to overflowing! We ate, we sang, we played, and we laughed, and it was just the best!
