Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it. Norman, OK

More from Chicago, March 2026 and Colorado, July 2026. Chicago St. Patrick’s Day Parade, lots of rides on the L, green river, Malört! Double fisting sweets in Chinatown, and the reason for my trip, LOTR in concert. I’d booked the ticket while I was bedridden, it was everything I hoped it’d be. Colorado was a lounge trip, dry as a bone, but wildflowers in full bloom. Scenic laundry after a horseback ride. Don’t drive and film on Peak to Peak Hwy. by @melcaudle

It’s been a little over a year since the emergency, live saving, and life changing (forever) surgery. I only had 11 months of occupational therapy over the last year, and have had a lot of fun, grief, mental therapy, hard work, beer festivals with Robert, and fun trips with amazing friends. Most of all love. This shoulder has so many personalities that I’m still getting to know. My scar is completely healed, sensitive if it gets punched by a sideview mirror, strength is improving, arthritis is severe, nerve regrowth is slow and painful, only minor range of motion limitations. It’s absolutely amazing to be alive. Truly incredible. Never been more thankful for, and appreciative of my body. Here are some pics from the past year of living. Chicago where we did not eat pancreas, but did see priceless works of art, and I spent too much money on HiChews. Colorado where I got to heal a little more. Nothing like a horseback ride in Rocky Mountain Natl Park. Said goodbye to my faithful steed, Dimples. The fire dept will help you if you lock your keys in your new car. What a treat! Celebrate everything. by @melcaudle

Pretty fun day @coorsbrewerytour. Def need a more in depth tour for the nerds. I was a total Hermione. They malt their own grain, make their own cans and bottles, have their own recycling center, send the spent grain to farms, and the spent yeast to Purina for dog and cat food. Oh and they have 26 spring water houses that test the water quality every 4 hours. Really cool experience, highly recommend. by @melcaudle

#What a fun night! Huge thanks to Marilyn, Evans, and Jeff for coming out and sharing their stories — and to Jeff Provine for wrapping things up with a spooky haunted tour of downtown Norman. 👻
A big shoutout to Uncanny Arthouse for the incredible alien sculptures that set the perfect mood! 🛸 And to Danny Mattox for all the planning and organizing to make this night happen!
Thank you to everyone who joined us and for your continued support — it’s what allows our small business to keep hosting fun community events like this one. ❤️
