“Favor” 🎨

I preached from Genesis 50 today: “It’s All Good”. The story of Joseph, and how what was meant for evil, God meant for good.

And @wayofelijah brought it to life on canvas as the word was going forth.

I lost my father in 2023, and in the midst of grief, I found myself asking: How do we honor his legacy?

The answer has been to continue to build.

This Father’s Day, I am honored to announce the launch of the Bishop Melvin Easley Jr. Foundation, created to carry forward the legacy, faith, service, and love my father poured into his family and community.

Through this foundation, we are choosing to honor him not only with our words, but with movement, impact, and continued service in the Baltimore community.

Today, we celebrate the fathers who shaped us, the ones we are still learning how to live without, and the legacies that continue to guide us.
