It’s taken me some time to process such an honor, soak in all the love and really just thank God for how He’s written the story of my journey thus far.

Thank you, @cchrawson, for sharing some of that journey and recognizing a little girl from Greensburg who loved performing and the joy it brought. When we had our lovely coffee date, I had no idea it would lead to this - so consider me successfully swindled and deeply humbled.

To be named @pittsburghpg 40th Performer of the Year, amongst previous professors, mentors, friends and artists I’ve admired for years, still got me waitin’ on Ashton Kutcher to jump out and “Punk” me; but until he does, I’m riding the high and giving the glory to Who really deserves it.

Thank you all for the texts, posts, comments, messages and e-mails. Each one has touched my heart and has reminded me how blessed I am to be a part of such an amazing community here in Pittsburgh. Thank you to each theatre company in town that’s given me the opportunity to perform since the start of my professional career - @pghplaywrights, @pittsburghclo, @newhorizonthtr_pgh, @kinetictheatre_pgh, @thepublicpgh, @quantumtheatre and @city_theatre - telling stories with you has led to something I’ll cherish forever.

I’m endlessly grateful to this city that has trained, embraced and empowered me. Pittsburgh holds such a rich artistic history, cultivates exceptional talent and a display of both can be found around every corner. I’m so proud to be a part of it. I hope to encourage others to keep dreaming big and trust the unfolding of this unconventional, unpredictable, challenging, thrilling, fulfilling and beautiful life in the arts. The best is yet to come!

This Pittsburgh girl is goin’ to GANDER! ✈️

I’m so excited to be returning to the Rock as Hannah & others this summer for @comefromawaygander in Newfoundland, Canada. I hoped to have the opportunity to tell this inspiring, true story again, but never imagined having the privilege of doing it where it actually took place. Honoring the people of Gander in their hometown, for the 25th anniversary of 9/11, alongside company members of the original Broadway cast feels BEYOND. God is amazing.

Thank you @mrubinoff and the rest of the CFA Gander team! Special thanks to my sis @maieshamcqueen and previous cast members @starrdomingue and @darrellmorrisjr for your generous spirits in my prep for the experience 🧳

If you find yourself wanting to make a trip to the island, we’ll be running June 28th-September 13th at The Joseph R. Smallwood Arts & Culture Centre.

Thank you @spjaxelrod of @onstagepittsburgh for ending 2024 on a high note and listing @quantumtheatre’s A Moon for the Misbegotten directed by @jcspells at the top of your “Best of Pittsburgh Theater” list. Moon will always hold a special place in my heart, as will those on stage and off who made the production the success it was. Thank you to all who joined us last summer 🌕🤎✨

It’s such an honor to be recognized among all the amazing theatre in this city, especially when it’s the byproduct of collective heart and hard work. Congratulations to all who made art, seen or unseen, in any capacity last year. Here’s to more theatre making in 2025!

From a project manager to a housewife, a lady of the night to a cleanin’ woman and a few occupations in between - ya girl was WORKING for sure! 😅

Thank you @daina__griffith for your intentional, timely vision.
For trusting me, gifting me the opportunity to explore a range of real people, letting me play, freeing me to fumble Housewife lyrics/forget the finale button pose and establishing a foundation of safety, curiosity and encouragement in the room. A dream come true to work with you!

To this exceptional ensemble - I’m so glad this show is something we can point to and be proud of. This piece is quite a lift and everyone rolled up their sleeves to embody their designated workers with a beautiful boldness while still making space for joy. We did it! Love to you all. 🫂

I can’t believe we opened Working a week ago! A short run with a lasting impact. Proudly making my @frontporchtheatricals debut, I’ve loved getting to honor the working class alongside this top notch team. Shining a light on the joy, grief, sacrifices and dreams of these true stories has been a privilege.

A little #BTS from our promo shoot for @frontporchtheatricals Working! 📸

We took a field trip to the 10th Street bridge during our 2nd week of rehearsals and got the shot in record time. We even got honks of approval from some friendly yinzers 😏👍🏾

Have you ever seen an August Wilson play in another language? Up until a few weeks ago, I sure hadn’t!

Co-hosted with @augustwilsonhouse, @pghplaywrights provided the stage for a special touring production of Jitney in Italian from @sardegnateatro and @lapiccionaiascs, directed by @renzocarbonera with an African-Italian cast.

A delicious pre-show dinner was catered by @rickia_lynn of KP Catering and @moiospastryshop pastries were offered at intermission. Well fed AND well entertained! 🍝🎭

This experience showed that August’s reach is worldwide and language doesn’t limit his work’s impact.

Thank you @markclaytonsouthers and Niecey for being such incredible hosts. Thank you to the cast of Jitney for bringing a bit of Italy to the Steel City 🇮🇹🖤💛

The good Lord DOES work in mysterious ways…because He moved me to participate in #InternationalDanceDay a few days late (but He’s always right on time!) 🤭

Happy Closing to the cast and crew of 10 Out of 12!

I’m so proud to have been in the company of such goofy, selfless and dedicated artists. You all brought me such joy and laughter over the past few months and I’m glad we could share a glimpse of our world with audiences here in the ‘burgh together.
