For #internationallaceday - a salted paper photographic print by William Henry Fox Talbot (English 1800-1877), probably made by placing the lace on photosensitive paper laying in the sun. No camera required. Fox Talbot may have hoped to aid in the manufacturing of machine lace by imaging patterns in a way that could be easily duplicated.
