The kid's final show in high school. Of course the did High School Musical. He was two different characters, Ripper the skater and Alan the theater kid. I didn't get any clear pics of him as Alan, but Ripper was his favorite of the two anyway. He had to learn how to skate for the show.

We are so proud of all the hard work and dedication he put into being part of the theater club at his school. It will be something he can look back on with appreciation. by @melindatrimble

I had a few visitors while sitting on my front porch this afternoon. There were 2 does and 2 fawns. The perks of living in the middle of the woods. by @melindatrimble

So many amazing authors, artists, narrators, book box companies, and other book-related swag booths. I didn't get to visit them all, but I did see quite a few.

The hotel/convention center where it was held is quite massive. The on-site restaurants and bars were decent, just overly expensive. I did end up with the perfect parking spot, though, right out of the doors from the convention center to the parking garage. It made for easy unloading of my small cart into the trunk of my car without having to trek across the hotel property.

Also, a big deal for my self-esteem concerning body image, I don't think I've ever posted so many pictures of myself at once I just really wanted pictures WITH everyone I saw for memory's sake. I'm not as uncomfortable with my pictures as I would have been 5 or more years ago. by @melindatrimble

9 years ago the kid was excited to attend the school book fair. Today I am excited (also extremely anxious) the be attending my first book convention at Villains & Vixens.

Yesterday was day one, and I got to meet some of my favorite authors plus some that are new to me. I even got to say hello to one of my favorite audiobook narrators. I'm sharing pics through stories, and will eventually create a post. by @melindatrimble
