One of my favorite people is dancing with Jesus now. Thank you Grandma for all the love (hugs, phone calls, letters), the patience (piano lessons), the time( checkers, tidily winks, cards), the cookies (always in the fridge), and so much more. Your faith was remarkable and steadfast. Thank you for answering the call to be salt and light to me and so many who knew you. I’m not surprised you made it to 103. Today is Easter. Many think of bunnies, chicks and spring flowers when they of Easter. I love those things… but Easter means something different to me.
It means unconditional love.
It means when I used to wonder “Is there more to life than this??” there is a viable answer…
Not a myth.
Not to-do lists based on my efforts.
It’s a person…
and he is the kindest person I have ever met.
His name is Jesus.
If you have only ever heard his name as an exclamation or expression of disgust, I invite you to take a closer look at Jesus. The real one. The one that I see when I celebrate Easter. If you are curious give me a shout. If you aren’t interested, no worries! All I have is love for you.
