⏰We had 90 minutes
🕵️Six detectives.
🔎 And one very confusing murder mystery.

This escape mystery room was better than expected — and not that scary.

We got lost and needed some clues—but we solved it in 70 minutes, with 20 to spare. 🔎

Who would you want on your detective team?
Check Vancouver Mysteries for more quests.

Art of Everyday Life - Mexico 🇲🇽

It’s finally time to post some Mexico video. It was so relaxing to be surrounded by nature and wildlife, I could have stayed there longer just for that 😍

Photo walk May 24th
with @coffeemeetsfilm

I grabbed a film camera for the 1st time in 20 years: a disposable Fujifilm w/ 27 photos. It’s out of my comfort zone to not control every clics I take so it’s definitely a new experience !

I met a great group of passionate who have an impressive collection of (real) film cameras 😂 and I’ve learnt a lot from them.

I post the digital pictures now, and wait for the surprise when I’ll develop the film camera !

Who wants to join next ?

Hi! I am Melanie 👋 French-born,living in Vancouver, Canada. I crossed the ocean to rebuild a life I thought had fallen apart.

What I found instead was: life was never the problem. It was the story I was telling myself.

I believe the way you see the world changes everything ✨

Street photo serie.

Random people passing by.
Or maybe not random after all.

I notice people. And I want to stay invisible behind the camera.

They are not invisible to me. But maybe there’re the ones noticing me.

🎨 There’s different type of art in a city.

Murals are something I rediscovered in North America, as they appeared to me more gigantic than anything I’ve seen in Europe.

I enjoy their creativity, colors, and blending in the architecture. As if they were always part of the urban decor.

Here’s a mix of Vancouver, other cities in BC, and Seattle murals.

My favorite is the Godzilla looking-like one, as if the movie scene just blended in the city.

A city is not its architecture.
Not its glass towers or cobblestone streets.
Not how green, how grey, how dark or light it is.

No.

A city is its people.
The ones who claimed this place before they even knew why.
The ones who arrived as strangers and stayed as something more — friends, lovers, witnesses to each other’s lives.

The ones who, without knowing it, became the city itself.

Just like me.

Sometimes it doesn’t take much.

Just pausing. Observing.

In silence, listening to the nature around us.

And noticing what is.

As I am obsessed with coffees and brunch, this post is dedicated to the French style coffee shops I’ve found in Vancouver. A mix of this spring walk and last summer trip 💛

🌸 Isn’t it the best season to shoot ?

Cherry blossoms are the sign that another spring is here. And reminds us what to be grateful for at every cycle of life.

Winter is a time to slow down and recharge.
Spring is about new beginnings — when possibilities emerge.
Summer is the time to shine — and harvest the fruits of our hard work.
Fall is to celebrate the work accomplished throughout the year, and prepare for winter.

Non negotiable stop in the city:
📖 The Library

For me, it means:
* Nice architecture of an historical building
* Unlimited books and knowledge for FREE
* A nice spot to focus and let my creativity flows
* Observe people from diverse horizons sharing the art of studying/reading

One of the many spots I like to photograph every time I visit a new city. by @melinthewild_

☕️ Café Marie - Dunsmuir St (try their banana latte, so yummy!)

🌿 Details in Vancouver

I can’t believe how quickly winter has flown by.

So much has happened, during a season when everything should have moved slower.

I’ve quit my job. Quit again. Went back to my old job.

Got back into photography. And forgot why I gave up in the first place.

Sun rose in February. Snow fell in March.

Seasons come and go, and the cycle of life continues 🌿🤍 by @melinthewild_
