One last night of 45 🤍 What a year.

Some incredible highs. Some really hard lows. Love, loss, laughter, tears, hard truths, unexpected moments, chances taken, and more growth than I ever saw coming.

Some things changed. Some things had to. And somewhere in the middle of all of it, I started finding my way back to myself.

To the ones who stayed, showed up, held space, made me laugh, reminded me who I was and the ones who unexpectedly saw something in me I had forgotten was there… thank you. More than you know 🤍

Tonight, I’m grateful for what stayed, what changed, what hurt, what healed, and everything it taught me.

45, you weren’t always easy. But you brought me back to myself.

I almost didn’t post the picture on the right. Not because I’m ashamed of her but because I remember exactly how she felt. She was carrying more than extra weight.
She was carrying stress. Self-doubt. Life. Heartbreak. Expectations. All the things so many of us quietly carry every day. The picture on the left isn’t proof that life suddenly became easy. It didn’t. It’s proof that I kept showing up anyway.

Over the last 16 months or so, I’ve chosen myself over and over again. Early mornings. Workouts I didn’t feel like doing. Better choices. More consistency. More grace on the days I wasn’t perfect.

The biggest transformation wasn’t my body. It was my mindset. Some days the progress was obvious. Most days it wasn’t. But all those ordinary days added up.

So if you’re in your “before” season, please don’t quit. Keep showing up. Keep choosing yourself. Your future self will be so grateful you did 💕 And to my KFIT family and the people who’ve cheered me on through all of it… thank you. I don’t think you realize how much you’ve helped me become the healthiest, happiest version of myself.

Kerrie what you’ve created is so much more than a gym. It’s a place where women become stronger, more confident, and discover they’re capable of more than they ever imagined.

9 months, countless conversations, new perspectives, moments of growth, and a whole lot of balancing work, life, and leadership later…I did it 👩🏽‍🎓✨

Today I graduated from the Women in Leadership Program through the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce and the Simmons University Institute for Inclusive Leadership.

Grateful for the incredible women in this cohort, the lessons learned, and the reminder that growth happens when you step outside your comfort zone. Excited to take everything I’ve learned into this next chapter 💙 by @melissa5245

5 years later… 🤍

Not every chapter of our story was perfect, but the love was always there. We lost time, but we found our way back and I hold onto that more than anything.

Now I carry you with me in a way I never knew I would. Closer than ever, even from a distance I can’t change.
