This day deserves a post 🤍

Not because it was my birthday, but because of these sweet people who made it special.

Moving back to Taiwan after being abroad for so many years hasn’t been easy. There’s been a lot of adjusting, rediscovering, and finding my place again. But along the way, I’ve also been reminded of how much there is to be grateful for, including these incredibly sweet and kind friends who came into my life recently.

I didn’t realize how much I had missed having family and friends around on my birthday until this year. To be surrounded by so much warmth and love again meant more to me than I can put into words.

So thank you, guys, for making this day such a special one ❤️

And thank you to everyone who sent me birthday wishes from near and far. I felt very loved indeed 🥰

Celebrated my birthday two weeks ago, and even though it was just another normal workday for me, I was surprised with this absolutely gorgeous flower bouquet from @mrflower_sydney . (The owner happens to be Taiwanese!)

Florists with good taste are hard to come by, and anyone who knows me knows I am very hard to impress, but this one won my heart 🤍

Also had dinner at @sixpenny_au , a restaurant I had been wanting to try, and the food did not disappoint 🥹

Time in Paris wouldn’t have felt complete without indulging in some fine French dining.

After a stroll around the Arc de Triomphe, I was led us to this simple yet sophisticated restaurant, tucked away on a quiet street.

I was surprised to see quite a few Japanese staff, and soon realized they serve French dishes prepared with Japanese techniques. As someone who’s lived in Japan for a long time, it was a comforting twist.

Every dish tasted beautiful, but what stole the show was the dessert (the 6th video). It was fresh, light, floral, and absolutely delightful, like tasting a beautiful spring garden 🌷—probably one of the best desserts I’ve had in a fine dining setting!

This was the only fine dining I did in Paris, but next time I’m definitely exploring the ones with stunning Parisian interiors as well ✨

In memory of all the croissants I had in Paris.

Being in Paris for the first time and enjoying soft, buttery, flaky croissants with coffee at the boulangeries felt absolutely magical and wonderful (my face in the 5th photo says it all).

Of the few places we visited, I enjoyed the croissant from @boulangerie_du_champ_de_mars the most. Wish we had time to try more places, but that just gives us another reason to come back 😊
