Since we launched @slayyy_hair_ @melissahibbert has been a consistent force with us in every major move. @melissahibbert has watched indie beauty brands repeatedly struggle to find manufacturers with minimum order quantities suitable for their tight budgets. Too often, they overspend on inventory instead of marketing—sabotaging their future success. Her new venture, Emerge Beauty Innovation Studio, partners with contract manufacturer Crida Labs to offer lower MOQs while educating brands on what it really takes to make it in a crowded beauty market. The result: brands get smarter about their investments, and Crida is able to support more promising brands.⁠

From the East Coast to the West Coast - and even some celebrations at sea (with a couple more still to come! 😉) - my heart is full.

Thank you to everyone who showed me so much love on my Birthday. Every call, message, gift, kind word, hug, and thoughtful gesture meant more to me than you know. I cherish it all. ❤️

I’m deeply grateful for this life, the people I get to share it with, and the beautiful moments I’m blessed to experience. I take none of it for granted.

On this day 50 years ago, God decided it was time for me to enter this world - and what a magnificent journey it has been. Here’s to celebrating fifty & fabulous! ✨ ♎️

For 50 years, I’ve been covered by grace, carried by faith, refined by experience, and guided by a God whose plans have always been greater than my wildest dreams.

I’ve prayed bold prayers and watched God answer. I’ve dreamed impossible dreams and watched doors open. I’ve loved, lived, learned, risen, reinvented, and become.

At 50, I know who I am. I know Whose I am. And I know there is still so much more.

I’m entering a divine era with bigger faith, deeper gratitude, massive goals, higher standards, audacious dreams, and an open heart.

50 years fabulous.
50 years blessed.
50 years becoming.
50 years covered.
And by God’s grace, the best is still unfolding.

From a phenomenal school year to a remarkable summer… and just like that, MILÁN is headed to 3rd grade! 🎉📚💕

What a year it’s been! She finished the school year on the Honor Roll (again!), took 1st place in the Spelling Bee 🐝🏆, and was named MVP of her cheerleading team! 📣✨ So incredibly proud of my girl and all the ways she continues to learn, grow, shine, and challenge herself.

And then we rolled right into an unforgettable summer! ☀️ From West African Dance Camp to STEM Camp, and then an incredible two-week vacation in beautiful Ocho Rios, Jamaica 🇯🇲🌴

But the highlight of it all? The HIBBERT Family Reunion! ❤️

My heart is still so full. Being surrounded by love, culture, laughter, history, honor and admiring the lineage of generations of HIBBERT’s was truly priceless. These are the beautiful moments, memories, and bonds we’ll hold dear forever.

What a blessing to give MILÁN a summer filled with culture, curiosity, adventure, family, and LOVE.
