When I say I’ve made a sis for life in the process no joke at all. This masterpiece was created in Ghana without me being there in person so ZERO fittings 🫶🏾 @etruba_gh you seriously went above and beyond for me from the first call to update and progress vids from every single step we walked together. S/o @__artversatile.gh for my sketch too it was so good I didn’t want to deviate from the design. Then later I thought hmm am I being too extra? Nah it’s my@big day ;) haha full detailed vid coming of the process VO Mel is ready lol

When people say something was a movie I actually get ittt! Just over a year with my postpartum body and can I be real with you? 👀…

Nothing prepared me for the emotional rollercoaster of seeing my body change.

I’ve always been quick to hype up and compliment other women — but giving that same love to myself? Harder than I thought postpartum 😮‍💨

Fast forward to today I’ve gone from the “Chaii will I ever get used to this body” to “ahh, these stretch marks aren’t so bad after all” and I do wanna get to the “Ouu loving it” stage but I’m not there yet!

And guess what, that’s ok! It’s a journey and mostly a mental one, but I’m willing to keep it moving to get there.

If you needed a sign to be kinder to your body today, this is it.
