POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

What an incredible honor for the Wildcat team. Words cannot describe how grateful I am for the journey and the ways it brought this brilliant, animal-loving family together. You all mean the world to me. Thank you to everyone who supported along the way, it’s hard to believe we’re here now. Most of all thank you @harry__turner and @sjzwicker for trusting us with your story and being fiercely brave. I know Khan and Keanu would be proud.

It’s not everyday you come across a story that changes you as a person, as a filmmaker, as a daughter and as a friend. This experience worked its way into every fiber of my being. After four years in the making, I am thrilled to finally share the trailer for WILDCAT with you all. We can’t wait for the world to meet @harry__turner, @sjzwicker, Keanu and the incredible work taking place at @hojanueva. @wildcatdocfilm premieres in select theaters on December 21 and on @primevide December 30. We hope you enjoy!

FWD returns Oct. 5-8, and we’ve got an exciting week of free arts and culture programming lined up.

Monday, Oct. 5, join Emmy Award-winning filmmakers @melissalesh and @mallorybracken for a special feedback screening of their latest documentary, “The Snake Rescuer’s Son.”

They’ll share selected scenes from the work-in-progress and take us behind the scenes of the filmmaking process, exploring the challenges, discoveries and creative decisions that have shaped the project along the way.

Following the screening, Craig Martin (@crolanmartin) will lead a conversation with the filmmakers before opening the floor for audience questions and feedback.

FWD is free to attend, but space is limited. Head to the link in our bio to RSVP. by @melissalesh

For the past couple of years, we’ve raised monarchs from tiny caterpillars. That final moment—when they lift into the air for the very first time—always takes my breath away. It’s pure magic.

Monarchs need our help, their numbers are plummeting — down 96% in some parts of the US. Their only host plant, milkweed, is vanishing. No milkweed = no monarchs.

Want to help? 🌱 You can:
• Plant native milkweed + nectar sources
• Skip pesticides & herbicides
• Join citizen science projects

Check out Monarch Watch (shop.monarchwatch.org) for resources and help raise some of your own.

Happy 40th @davidlesh 🤍 What a joy it is getting to celebrate you in all your elements — water, sky, land. Thank you for being the best brother a sister could ask for. You’re always showing me how to enjoy this one precious life. taken in Lakeway, Texas by @melissalesh

A spectacled cobra is on full display as the sun sets over Mysore, India. These are the moments I live for.

I haven’t been posting much on here recently so here are a few recent slices of life; Richmond, India and Thailand. It’s been an incredible year and I’m feeling an overwhelming about of love. My heart is full. HBD to meeeee 🥳

Divine mornings in this landscape ✨ I’m going to miss this!

Final week at home before I teleport to India for over 6 weeks … another world, my other life, so dramatically different and yet equally rich and full at the same time. I’m ready to shed skins.. how is it possible to always want more of wherever you are? As if I never get enough time, continuously finding ways to go deeper, find more beauty, rediscovering places I thought I knew. A blessing, a curse, I’m not sure but it definitely makes life feel more precious.

Still can’t believe this used to be a flat lawn. I’m in awe of @tbfrost for dreaming up this space and bringing it to life. If you build it, nature will come. taken in Richmond, Virginia by @melissalesh

Thank you @canonindia_official and @adavialertfoundation for inviting us to the new Canon India camera launch in Bangalore this weekend. I got to try out Canon’s new line of action cameras, the most versatile and compact yet. It is exciting to envision how these tiny cameras can transform our work. I think it is easy to assume the biggest and most expensive gear will tell the best story, but I believe it is often the opposite. Especially when working in the field of wildlife and conservation storytelling, it is often the smallest, lightest equipment that packs the biggest punch, whether it’s a small action camera or a phone in a pocket. Being in the right place at the right time is key and that means you need something practical especially when on the move. I look forward to trying out the new EOS R50 and the new Powershot V10, putting them to the test with @suryakeerthi728 and our team. More soon! taken in Bangalore, India by @melissalesh
