So thankful for these people who love me no matter what. And extra thankful that Maddie’s graduation brought them all under one roof for a couple of days (even if there wasn’t time for turkey this year) ❤️

Our @maddiem0331 has officially had her graduation ceremony and received her OSSD Diploma. Not just that, she is graduating with a 4 years Honours plaque and a Red Seal for her Communication Technology SHSM. You earn a Specialist High Skills Major red seal by taking extra credits, experiences, and specific courses related to your discipline of choice. (That’s why the red sash is worn at graduation)

She also earned two scholarships, the Norfolk Community Foundation Irene McKiee Bursary for Women in a Business program, and the John W Sheppard Memorial Award (that one we aren’t sure of yet).

If you know her you know how incredibly hard she has worked, all the ways that she persevered and never gave up even when she struggled.

SCS was absolutely the right place for her, and we are forever grateful for the friends she made, and the support she received 💙🤍

There were many wonderful Teachers along the way that made a difference, but the one that will always stand out to her (and us) is Mr Lamers. Though Ms Metselaar has a warm place too thanks to Maddie’s love of writing.

We are so proud of her as she continues to work hard at Mohawk in her 3 year Advertising and Marketing Communications Management program.

Your best is your best and that is more than good enough, let your light shine Mad ❤️

We had the opportunity to go watch @gracemummery_ and her Cardinal teammates play a fall ball doubleheader in PA yesterday and it was so awesome.

She played well, the team worked hard, and we are so excited for this season!

To watch her lead both on and off the field, especially encouraging the freshmen, her pitchers, and smiling and having fun, it’s all we could hope for as she kicks off her senior season ❤️🖤

National Daughters day is every day for me. I can’t believe the good fortune I have to be surrounded by these amazing people I get to call mine. They are brave and smart and genuinely good humans, I’ll be grateful every day of my life for the time we spend together 🩷🩷🩷🩷

Audrey is off to grade 9 and at a new school for us. So many firsts and lasts. I’m going to quote one of my favourite Guiding songs “Make new friends but keep the old. One is silver and the other gold” 🩷

Oh and also… stay off your phone in class, be a good listener, be a good human, try and eat something healthy, make good choices. I love you xo

It is almost impossible to believe but today was drop off for @maddiem0331 at @mohawk.college . She’s taking a 3 year program that she’s so excited about, Advertising and Marketing Communications Management.

Make all the memories, meet as many new people as you can, and share your awesomeness with them - they’ll be better for it.

We are so happy for you and beyond proud of how hard you’ve worked to get where you are. Love you… now get to class ❤️

@gracemummery_ turns 21 today… how is that possible?! Every new year has so many adventures to look back on (I’m sure many of her favourites I don’t know about 😆) and still so many to come.

This fall will be her senior year of her Accounting degree, and that brings with it her senior softball season too. I don’t think I’m ready for either, but I know she is. So many feelings about that, but mostly pride in how far she’s come and how incredibly hard she’s worked.

Baseball/softball have given us so many memories over the years and I’m forever grateful. But I’m mostly grateful to be your mom, Grace. You are intelligent, kind, fiercely protective of your loved ones, and destined to be the coolest cat and plant lady ever 🐈 🪴 .

I love that you are surrounded by love when we aren’t able to be near, and my wish for you is that will always be the case.

How is it possible that Audrey is heading to high school? And that after 17 years I will no longer have a Laker in school 🥹

We are so proud of you, my girl. Honours and the Geography award with a 96%.

But more importantly we are proud of your kindness, your spirit, dedication to your friends and family (and volleyball of course), and the spice you bring to all of our lives.
