Still processing this weekend in Kansas City. Thank you @ericstonestreet for inviting me to be a part of @bigslickkc and raise money for @childrensmercy Whatever expectations I had were exceeded. It was an incredible few days where the beautiful people of Kansas City showed up for the patients, their families and the entire team at Children's Mercy Hospital. Thanks to their generosity 4.2 million dollars was raised to fight pediatric cancer. @davidkoechner @jasonsudeikis @heidilgardner @robriggle @ericstonestreet & Paul Rudd along with their families make this event truly special. The best part was the opportunity to spend time at Children's Mercy. I met so many wonderful people this weekend. Very grateful. #thebigslickkc #kc ❤️ by @melissapeterman

We said goodbye to our sweet boy Junior yesterday. He was the best dog. He was the smartest dog we ever had. He made elaborate plans to steal things from our other less "gifted but pretty" dogs. He took care of Janet when she got old, taught Fern and Elvis how things worked around this house. He loved Riley and went to wake him up for school every morning. He thought John was everything and tried not to show his disappointment too much when it was just me coming home. He always looked a tad guilty, like he was embezzling money from us and maybe he was, he was very smart. He loved us so much and was happiest when everyone was home and accounted for.
