A summer spent looking a little closer. Studying light, color and shape.

No shot lists, no expectations. Just the freedom to observe, experiment, and make photographs for myself. taken in Southern California by @melissarobotti

A little cinematic storytelling at the iconic Fairmont Copley Plaza.

The moments between the moments - a glance across the room, enjoying each other and a glass of wine while getting ready for a night in Boston.

From a recent lifestyle campaign photographed for @fairmontcopley, bringing together editorial photography, hospitality, and a sense of place.

Creative storytelling for hotels and hospitality brands, with an eye for the details that make a destination memorable.

It was more than 25 years ago I first discovered my love for photography at the Boston Public Garden. What an incredible gift to have returned so many times over the years.

Photographed for the Fairmont Copley Plaza, just a short stroll down the road. @fairmontcopley

A few frames from a recent lifestyle campaign for Fairmont Copley Plaza in Boston.

We photographed two days across the hotel and the city, creating a library of hospitality imagery spanning family travel, food & beverage, wellness and the experience of Boston itself.

Shoutout to the very talented creative team:

Long after the flowers have faded and the ring becomes part of everyday life, these are the moments that remain.

The trembling hands.
The joyful tears.
The smile that appears without thinking.

The best photography isn't about recreating emotion. It's about preserving it while it's real.

I am honored to have placed in the juried portion of the reFocus Black & White awards.

From reFocus:

"It is with great pride that we
announce Melissa Robotti as one of
this year's winners, selected from a
remarkable field of entries representing 104 countries across the world.

This year's judges were from the New York Times, Rizzoli Publishing, Conde
Nast, The Robb Report, The Financial Times, and others.

The smallest moments rarely feel significant while they're happening.

A hand reaching for yours. A curl at the nape of the neck. The way they look at you when the whole world still feels new.

These are the details that quietly become the story.
