I am holding a collage workshop at my home near Faversham Kent on October 3rd.
DETAILS
Join textile artist Mel Jordan for a relaxed, informal creative workshop in the inspiring setting of her rural home.
In this four-hour workshop, Mel will guide you through the process of composing a beautiful landscape and bringing it to life. Using a variety of materials, you will explore how to use different textures, colours, tones, and depth to capture the essence of the countryside, using collage.
Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to develop your collage skills, this small-group session offers a peaceful space to create, learn, and connect.
What is included:
Full step-by-step guidance from a practicing artist
Collage materials
Tea, coffee and refreshments
What to bring:
A packed lunch
Your own project ideas or meaningful scraps, fabric or paper (optional—feel free to just use ours!)
Booking:
Spaces are strictly limited to 6 participants to ensure plenty of individual guidance and a cosy, relaxed atmosphere.
To book: A £20 deposit via BACS transfer is required to secure your place.
Balance: The remaining £20 can be paid in cash or via bank transfer on the day. by @meljordan6936

So very pleased to have this stitched picture of Penmon Lighthouse on Anglesey included in ArtCan’s LUMINOUS exhibition at The Hare and Hounds, London N1.

Monday 20th April – Sunday 19th July 2026
The Hare and Hounds, 181 Upper St, London N1

Luminous brings together a dynamic collection of contemporary works by ArtCan artists, exploring light not only as a visual phenomenon, but as a conceptual and emotional force. Across painting, photography, and mixed media, the exhibition will reflect on how light shapes perception, atmosphere, and memory—particularly within the heightened sensory experience of summer.
Curated by Kate Enters
Private View: 29th April, 6-8pm
