Last week I had the pleasure of moderating a talk with oscar-winning supervising sound editor Nina Hartstone, at the Netherlands Film Festival. We took a deep dive in to her work, speaking about Bohemian Rhapsody, Saltburn, Gravity and many other great films she worked on. It was a packed house, so many great people showed up! Had a great time working as on-set pro tools editor for a new horror film by Nico Van Den Brink! A crazy set up with a lot of playback, PA’s and an insane workflow made possible by mastermind and production sound mixer @sebastiaan_koning by @melleposthuma

I graduated as sound designer, together with my lovely friends.

Had the pleasure of working on three amazing films as supervising sound editor and re-recording mixer.

For Floris van Doorn’s ‘Bungelen’ we had the challenging, but fun task of working on the edge of comedy and horror. A twisted story that needed a big soundtrack. @john_farburg and I designed, supervised and mixed this film as a team. Great production sound provided by @sebastiaan_koning and his team. And the picture edit couldn’t have been in better hands than @lucvanbaar

For Julia van Braak’s ‘De Kleine Hoteldetective’ we had a lot of fun creating the sonic world for a family movie, and with that the fantasy of a child’s mind. A very high paced, fx heavy, colorful story, with an amazing, rich, score by @jamiealpherts that made it so much fun to mix everything together. This film @john_farburg and I teamed up as well, supervising, designing and mixing together. Another top notch production sound job done by @sebastiaan_koning and his team. A very close, and fun collaboration with picture editor @madeliefjoore

For Lotte Salomon’s ‘Sanyi Kakas’ I had the task to mix a very dialogue heavy documentary. I also provided the film with some additional sound design on @luc.boymans initial work. The film was a challenge because it was fully Hungarian, which is a difficult language to mix, but I learned a lot from it. Another very fun collaboration with composer @jamiealpherts , first time collaboration with director @lottesalomons and another very close and wholesome collaboration with picture editor @madeliefjoore . This film was also provided with great production sound by @sebastiaan_koning

I learned so much from everyone I worked with, and am very grateful to have met all these lovely people. On to the next one! Can’t wait. ❤️ taken in Nederlandse Filmacademie by @melleposthuma
