East Los Angeles’ premier producer and beatmaker Mellow Thing returns with the next chapter in his ongoing series, Rather Vexxxed II: Volume II. Expanding his signature sound, the project brings together a powerful lineup of longtime collaborators while pushing into more cinematic territory. Anchored by an intimate oral history narrated by his own sister, the record weaves personal legacy with hard-hitting production—blurring the line between street storytelling and sonic world-building.

I’m so excited to drop this album “TABIJI” (journey) with renowned #Japanese artist, MC, Rapper, and taqueria owner @gxexbxo ! We’re also premiering it live in #Osaka at @noon_party_info on 11/1 and we’ll be sharing the stage with the @l00pers_ fam. We’ve been working on #TABIJI for a little over a year with Gebo handling the vocal recording and features and mixing and mastering done by me in LA. Pressing some tapes of this release SO make sure to grab one. We’ll see you in #Japan

Mellow Thing, Peso 90003 & Eddy Rotten get brutally introspective on “Nothing Wrong,” a dark, booming collaboration featuring Menthol Prince and Danny Boy. Ominous production sets the tone as Peso and Eddy question the instinct to judge the people around us—and whether that judgment is really projection. Danny Boy’s haunting hook drives the record home, turning a street-level anthem into a reflection on perception, ego, and self-awareness.

I wanted to check in with you and say thank you. Thank you to anyone and everyone that has ever supported me, came to a @l00pers_ event or gig, shared, bought, stole, or sold any of my music, mentioned my work to anyone and so much more. Gracias to those that I’ve had the honor to make art with, collaborate with, and contribute to the culture with. The year isn’t finished and I’m still hitting some milestones and goals in hopes of opening doors for those that share my passion, drive, discipline and love towards something that can thrive for lifetimes. I say this because I care and appreciate it all. taken in East Los Angeles, California by @mellowthing_

Peso 90003, Eddy Rotten & Mellow Thing shut down the summer with “Inside Joke,” a bass-heavy West Coast banger built around loyalty, relationships and the come-up. Santa Ana’s Erick Yung sets it off with a slick hook, while Peso and Eddy trade sharp streetwise bars over Mellow Thing’s hypnotic, hard-hitting production.
