We got married nearly 6 months ago and it’s still wild to me how everything came together on the day. You don’t realise until you’re in it but there is so much work that goes in to planning a wedding - so many spreadsheets, emails, phone calls, shopping, spending, DIY’ing… it’s the biggest and most intense party you’ll ever plan.

And… you definitely can’t do it alone. So thank you to everyone who helped us make our day possible 💕

👾PAXAUS 2026 Recap🎮
13th year of attending @paxaus and absolutely loved this year’s paxland theme - definitely one of my favourites!!

We enjoyed playing some games (wow & cod were not on my 2026 bingo tho haah), buying cards (ofc) and watching lots of interesting panels. Highlights included meeting @austincreedwins, attending my fav Horror panel and finding out our Moogle pinny is now worth $300USD 😳

Can’t wait to do it all again next year!

📍Holly’s Bar & Kitchen, Ringwood
Drinks without food? No thank you!

Right near Ringwood Lake @seeyouathollys is serving up some seriously good food and drinks. We got the $45pp feed me menu and I was blown away by the taste, portion and just how much I enjoyed everything in this unsuspecting spot hidden from the main road.

For $45pp, we got:
• Garlic focaccia
• Pumpkin & sage arancini
• Burrata
• Baked cauliflower
• Gnocchi cacio e pepe
• Chicken Alfredo
• Chilli crab risotto
• Pork belly
• White chocolate & raspberry cannoli
• Chocolate hazelnut cannoli

I can’t even tell you what my favourite was bezusee I genuinely enjoyed everything, but the arancini definitely surprised me because I don’t usually like it. This was extremely good value and is highly recommended!

Tbh I don’t know anyone who just eats something the way it is without adding extra things 😂

Great thing is that @kajiken_melbourne is celebrating their 2nd anniversary and you can get up to 8 free toppings with your main on select days in October! Excellent for those who need a lil extra flavour.

Meat lover aburasoba ($25.50)
Tako karaage ($14)

This was my first time trying aburasoba and it definitely won’t be my last. I really enjoy soupless noodles and it reminded me of the same enjoyment I get from zhajiangmian or dan dan noodles 😋

I really shouldn’t be posting these reels when I’m hungry cos dang I could go for @tommytwobuns right now 😩

🍔 The Tommy ($18) w/ lettuce, tomato, onion (+$2)

These lived up to the hype and was worth the drive to Fitzroy, where some loose unit nearly crashed into us after trying to outrun a tram 👍

Cooking the patties over charcoal gives a rich and depth flavour, and this burger absolutely sits high on my burger list.

📍Snow Monkey Ramen, Collingwood
Home to the pies, Collingwood has welcomed some snow monkeys and their signature lobster ramen.

We were invited to a preview night before their big opening and tried:
🦞 Signature rock lobster bisque ramen $39.80
🧄 Black garlic ramen $25.50
🍗 Karaage $15.50
🍤 Tempura prawn $11.50
🥟 Gyoza $12.50

The food was decent and as you would expect, the lobster ramen was definitely unique. It was a little disappointing that our food took nearly 1.5 hours to arrive, trickling out in random bursts and therefore made enjoying the food (while needing to make content) a little challenging.

We do wish them all the best and hope that with time and experience, their time management in the kitchen will improve for the public!

Ever since opening, there’s been a huge line outside of @charcoalchan_glen and for good reason - the quality of the meat, fit-out of the venue and service was all top notch.

We opted for the $88 signature charcoal set which included:
🍢 Skewers (2 of each - spicy cumin lamb, Angus beef rib, marinated pork belly, marinated chicken thigh, sweet soy Wagyu, fish tofu, zucchini, black pepper Wagyu, marinated chicken wing, pepper shrimp, potato)
🧈Honey butter toast
🍚 Truffle fried rice
🍟 Hot truffle chips

We also added on:
🍄‍🟫 Enoki mushrooms (2pc) $4.80
🍢 Wagyu with pickled garlic (3pc) $8.80
🍗 Chicken skin (2pc) $6.80
🍢 Spicy wheat gluten (2pc) $3.20
🍢 Spicy Wagyu beef (1pc) $2.80

The truffle rice was surprisingly really addictive and my favourite skewer would definitely be the spicy Wagyu beef! Definitely would return.

📍Hecho En Mexico, Camberwell
What a fun and chaotic night we had at the launch of @hechoenmexico_camberwell 🙌

There’s no better way to party than some delicious tacos, quesadillas, tequitos and of course margaritas made with @cointreau_au liqueur & @teremana tequila. Our favourite was definitely the mandarin margaritas mixed with mandarin jarritos 🍊🍹

With a live DJ, Lucha Libre shakin’ cocktails and hanging out with @foodtom @mubsmentalescape & @adi_photographer91, it was such a great night. We can’t wait to come visit again to try more of the menu!

Sometimes you’re just too tired to cook or even make a decision…

Decked out in a gorgeous purple, @tootiredcamberwell is the newest sandwich shop on the block. They’ve got a couple of interesting sangas, delicious cakes and of course, coffee.

We tried their chicken burger, Reuben & deli sandwich. Our favourite was definitely their chicken burger, which had a perfect crunch. Their basque cheesecakes and cookies were also a real hit, especially paired with their signature lavender syrup coffee.

Definitely a welcome new sandwich & coffee shop on @camberwellshopping 🙌

📍CDMX, Melb CBD
If you haven’t been tempted walking by @__cdmx in Melb Central yet, you have strength. There’s two main things at this location:

• Birria tacos (3pc) $22
• Birria quesadilla $16.50

Both come with the option of beef, chicken or mushroom. We got the beef tacos & chicken quesadilla and they were both delicious. Flavour was great, especially paired with the consomé and even better with a kick of their chilli.

Would definitely return.
