Finally finished this beauty 🎉 This is the incredible Olympia cardigan by Cheryl Toy, such a fantastic pattern and I couldn’t be happier with the result! This was a birthday gift for my husband and I think he likes it too 🥰 A project diary is coming to my YouTube channel in the next month or so, but you can get a sneak peek of the finished object (and all of the others here) in my new Mel Makes Stuff episode coming out tomorrow 👀

I used Gilliatt by De Rerum Natura in the colourway Erable, and I’m so happy I have leftovers from this project because now I need a cabled vest in this yarn…

New cast on for @selmaknits No Thrills KAL, the #luluslipover by PetiteKnit.

I’ve been hoarding these yarns for years while they waited for the right project; there will be some sewing this fall to go along with the vest, I think…

My version of the Hane by Kirsten Johnstone. I did a ton of mods on this one, but I think it captures the essence of the original design (and the ruffle is 100% from the pattern, I think it turned out just perfectly 🥰).

Bell by Ann McCauley; I used one of my all-time favourite yarns for this, @harrisvilledesigns Shetland in the loden blue colourway.

My second version of Julie’s Wrap by @jojilocat

This is my go-to pattern during stressful times, I had started this during our big move to the west coast last year, and am soooo close to finishing it. This bobble bind off takes ages but is well worth it 🥰 by @melmakesstuff_

Felt cute today in one of my old favourites, the Bright Sweater by @junkookamoto_design but I need help to decide, do we like this tucked or untucked? The millennial in me needs that semblance of waist definition, but maybe it can go either way? Let me know which you prefer 🥰

I used the recommended Moeke yarn for this, which is now sadly discontinued, but I think Briggs & Little Sport (🇨🇦) would sub nicely.

Finally finished the Honeysuckle Cardigan!!! I’ve got an epically long video coming out this Saturday that shows cutting all of the steeks, finishing the insides, and sewing on buttons. Looking forward to starting another colourwork garment already…

Hottest day of the year so far? ✅
And is this also the day I chose to take photos of my new colorwork sweater? ✅ 🤣

This is the 1994 Lillehammer jumper, which is a free (!) pattern available on Ravelry. After a few adjustments to the shoulder/armpit at the end, I’m pretty happy with the fit of this one. Playing around with layering and styling this sweater was pretty fun too 🥰

Johanna is releasing the pattern on April 6th in case you want your own copy - I used #blackberryridgewoolenmill medium weight (worsted weight) yarn in the dark bronze colorway and I can see this color becoming a staple for me 😍

Finally finished this beast #sterntauchercardigan by @katedavies_design - and just in time for some hot weather in central MA 💦 . Just finished recording a new podcast with more details about this project and 5 (!) others! Planning to publish that to YouTube on Tuesday - and hopefully I’ll be getting on a more frequent recording schedule moving forward 🤞🏼.
