💪🏼 what do we want to see next?? by @melmart1no

Reflecting on my past years, I often come back to these photos of 3-year-old Melissa, curious, bold, and adamant on a blueberry pie for her birthday cake ✨ I think about how in awe she would be of the woman I am today. If only she knew what was ahead: the growth, the resilience, the love, the strength.

I’m surrounded by people who truly love and support me and that alone is such a gift. It’s not lost on me how rare and beautiful that is.

Aging is inevitable and with societal pressures, time never feels like it’s on anyone’s side. No one can turn back or slow down the calendar. But with each passing year, I feel a deeper appreciation for the wisdom, confidence, and clarity I’ve gained.

If I could speak to my younger self today, I’d remind her of a few things:

1. Don’t allow the world to shrink you.
2. Chase your dreams, believe it or not, they come true and way sooner than you think.
3. Ignore the ones who doubt you, they’re just intimidated.
4. And if you’re ever made to feel like you’re too much, know that you’re just in the wrong room.

Cheers to 31, To owning who you are, taking up space, and never dimming your light.
