One thing I didn’t realize about sunrise at Schwabacher Landing… 🌅🏔️

The sun doesn’t actually rise behind the Tetons.
It rises behind you.

And that’s what makes this spot so incredible.

As the first light hits the Teton Range, the mountains slowly start glowing — deep purple, pink and even golden in places. And when the water is calm, the reflection is almost perfectly mirrored.

Schwabacher Landing is VERY popular at sunrise, so here are a few things I learned:

📍 GET THERE EARLY. (the tip everyone gives)
The parking lot is small and fills up fast. Once it’s full, cars start lining the road. I was there around 5:15 am and definitely wasn’t the only one with that idea. 😂

📍 DON’T JUST STOP AT THE FIRST VIEW.
This one is important. Walk around. Explore a little. There are different angles, little spots along the water and plenty of opportunities to get away from the crowd. EVERYONE TENDS TO GATHER IN ONE SPOT— but some of my favorite views came from simply walking a little farther.

📍 WATCH THE MOUNTAINS, NOT JUST THE SKY.
The magic here is watching the light move across the Tetons. They go from dark and shadowy to purple, pink and gold right before your eyes. And when the water is still, that reflection is 🤌🏼.

Was getting up at 4:30 am worth it? Absolutely!!

POV: You’re a moose who has officially had ENOUGH of the tourists. 😂🫎

This guy was lying low in the grass, trying his best to disappear.

I only spotted him because a whole line of cars had pulled over. And honestly, I can’t blame him.

The tourists were excited.
The moose? Not impressed

Pretty sure he was over the wildlife paparazzi. 🤣

The seasons change. The tides keep rolling. And the road keeps calling. 🌅🍂

One of the things I love most about travel is seeing how different places change with the seasons — and how those changes remind us that we’re allowed to change, too.

As the days get shorter and the nights grow longer, I’m looking forward to whatever this next season brings… and wondering where it might take me.

Because there’s always another sunset, another road, another place to discover.

Sometimes, you just need a different perspective. 🏔️🛶

Floating down the Snake River through Grand Teton National Park was such a peaceful way to take in the Tetons. And our guide, Zen, made it even better. He was a fantastic storyteller, sharing the history, wildlife, and local lore along the way.

After much consideration (because apparently I can overthink booking a float trip 😂), I chose Solitude Float Trips — and I’m really glad I did.

Highly recommend seeing the grandeur of the Tetons from the water. It’s a whole different view.
