this show means so much to me. all my life, i've wanted to perform. i used to think my dreams were far away: out of reach. i used to yearn for the day i would get my time under a spotlight. that moment has finally come. i regret starting theatre and performing so late, but im grateful that i got the chance to show the world that i exist. i really struggled to find my place all of highschool but this department welcomed me with open arms and finally made tennessee feel like home-despite the fact that i was born and raised here. im forever thankful to everyone who supported me and helped me when i really needed it. i've never felt so loved and appreciated before in my life and the entire cast, crew, and production will stay in my heart for the rest of my life.

tonight really made me realize that it's all coming full circle. coffeehouse was where it all began for me. i've always loved singing and it's all i've ever wanted to do, but i was always too embarrassed to perform infront of others cuz i never thought i was good enough. when Mr. M came to MJHS and introduced our first coffeehouse event, i was skeptical abt it at first. but, after being peer pressured, i decided to give it a go. i wasn't expecting to make the cut but im so glad i did because i finally gained the confidence to put myself out there. it was my first time ever performing infront of ANYONE and although it was a bit rough, it laid the bricks in place for me to start auditioning for more events and even productions. if it weren't for Mr. M being one of my biggest cheerleaders, i would've stayed in my room, longing for the day i would get my chance to perform. im so lucky to be a part of this lovely choir program and i just wish i would've joined sooner. to think that this will be one of my last performances pains me, but knowing that i gained the confidence to get up on a stage and received amazing support from my peers fills my heart w joy. these past 3 yrs in choir will be memories i will look back on fondly.

my 2025 started off a bit rough BUT after May, it really started looking upward for me. i've been given opportunities of a lifetime- opportunities i never thought id get to experience !!!! i made it into the big boy choir (VE) after 2 yrs, i acted for the first time, i even found love! (LMFAO jk but could you imagine 🫩) i've bonded w some new people and i hope to become friends w many more. i know if 13 yr old me were to look @ me now, she'd be proud of who we've become. to everyone reading, i hope you've had a lovely holiday season and ofc, a very happy new yr ❤️

i really am @ a loss for words cuz i still can't believe that i was even given the opportunity to perform on a stage ive never been on before. i've met so many fantastic people (that ive been meaning to talk to for like 2 yrs 😅) and im so grateful to them for including me in their conversations and their mundane errand runs. i would like to thank everyone for coming to see me and my spectacular cast perform on our inconvenient ass show dates and i would like to also shoutout eli and jade for being my only 2 friends to show up. above all, i want to thank my family. they've always supported my endeavors and i know they always will. this is truly a part of my life i will never forget 💌 by @melodeez1
