O Howard, we sing of thee…

Just a girl from Camden, New Jersey.

No legacy to follow, no blueprint to borrow, just God, grit, and the audacity to believe that what I came from would never determine where I was going.

I didn’t come here to fit into someone else’s story. I came here to build my own.

Thank you, Howard, for every yes, every no, and everything in between. For every lesson, every challenge, every opportunity, and every moment that shaped me into the woman I am today. I leave with more than a degree. I leave with perspective, purpose, and a version of myself I couldn’t have found anywhere else.

At last, she was forged.

forge (verb) — to form or shape something, especially with great effort or difficulty; to create or develop something strong through pressure or hardship.

Thank you Howard.
