but you will slip and,
find your nails dug into sand
and unto your palm

you’ll come up,
bloodied knees
future scars

hands clenched with,
rocks with circles
and rocks with holes

you’ll find a quiet
between high tide,
hissing and dribbling

and you’ll find your love
cradled and buried
into your neck
unto your arms
