Petersburg… I’m coming home!
Out of all the cities I’ve had the privilege of speaking in over the past few years, this one means the most.

I was born here. I grew up here. I walked these streets, sat in these classrooms, and dreamed big here. Now, for the first time, I have the opportunity to return home as a keynote speaker, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly.

On August 6, we’ll talk about mental health, resilience, and having the courage to ask for help. But more than anything, I want every young person in that room to see what’s possible.

I want them to know that someone from the same community, who attended the same schools and started with many of the same dreams, can build a life far beyond the limits others may place on them.

No one gets to put a ceiling on your life except you. Your circumstances don’t define your future, and your story is still being written.

Petersburg, I can’t wait to come home. My hope is that every young person who walks through those doors leaves believing that where they come from is part of their story, not the limit of it.

Mental health advocacy isn’t just something I talk about.

It’s the work I’ve dedicated my life to.

Over the past 11 years, I’ve had the privilege of serving more than 10,000 individuals and families through behavioral health, mental health, autism, and community-based programs.

Recently, I had the opportunity to bring that perspective to the stage at White Coats & Cocktails in Miami.

The conversation centered around mental health, leadership, resilience, and the importance of creating environments where people feel empowered to seek support without shame.

These conversations matter.

Not because they’re trending.

Because they’re necessary.

The work I do every day in behavioral health has reinforced one belief:

Mental health isn’t a weakness.

Ignoring it is.

Thankful for every opportunity to use my experiences, platform, and voice to help move the conversation forward.

This is only the beginning.

Strong men need safe spaces too.

In business, leadership, and life, there’s constant pressure to perform. We talk a lot about success, but not nearly enough about what it takes to maintain our mental, emotional, and physical well-being along the way.

I’m excited to join an incredible panel for MENtal Reset Year 2 to have an honest conversation about mental health, purpose, growth, and the realities men face while balancing ambition, responsibility, family, and self-care.

Roots Picnic weekend was a reminder that the best part is never just the event itself.

It’s the people.
The relationships.
