This weekend would have marked 18 years of marriage for Holden and I. Instead of focusing on what I thought I would be celebrating, I’m choosing to celebrate the greatest gifts those years gave me…my children. I know the news of our separation surprised a lot of people. The truth is that this has been a long time coming, and it was not a decision made lightly. There are things I have carried quietly for years. I fought hard for my marriage, prayed hard for my marriage, and believed deeply in the covenant of marriage. This didn’t happen because marriage got hard or because I stopped believing in it. There are serious parts of our story that I’m not ready to share publicly right now. Maybe one day I will…because I believe there is value in sharing the things we’ve survived, especially when silence can make other people feel like they’re the only ones going through something. But for now, I’m still processing and choosing to keep some things private. To the people who have walked closely with me through some of the hardest years of my life, thank you. And to the people who didn’t know the details but still chose to trust my character, love me, and support me anyway, that has meant more to me than I can explain. Holden and I both love our children more than anything, and I want them to grow up knowing what love, honesty, respect, and healthy relationships should look like. I don’t know exactly what the future holds, but I do know that God has been faithful to me in every season, and I trust Him with whatever comes next. I’m thankful for his peace and that he can bring beauty from the ashes. by @melray57
Holden was out of town this week on a business trip, so it was a crazy, but a fun week for my babies. 🤎 Charlie’s foot is all better! 🤗 Pappy and Papaw filled in at donuts with dad for the twins 🥰 Papaw also picked up scar for school every day 🥹 Had a great night at the fall festival tonight 🎃 Love this time of year!! by @melray57
September recap 🤎🤎 by @melray57
Things I’ve learned in life: There aren’t black and white answers for all the trials you’ll face. You can give your absolute all to some people, and it still won’t ever be enough. In the darkest times in your life, you see who you can trust and who believes in your character and who doesn’t. You are to live for an audience of one and one alone. You don’t have to explain yourself. It’s ok to change. Jesus is the only one who will never fail you. There are blessings in each day. Well meaning, good people can still have so much wrong in their thinking. Some people aren’t meant to be in your life forever. Each day is a gift. If you open your eyes, you see the good. God is good even when life isn’t. Every day is a new beginning and there’s always a reason to have hope. by @melray57

The twins first day of Pre-K 🥹🤗 They LOVED it and couldn’t wait to go back today. #mamasboys by @melray57
Currently sitting in their playroom bawling my eyes out. My babies are starting K-4 tomorrow. The thing about twins is that everything is doubled, including all the emotions and all at once. Sending 2 babies to school at once is too much for my heart! 😭😭 They have never been so excited and I know it is what’s best for them…but my heart just aches. How 4 years passed so quickly just blows my mind. 4 years ago today is the day we got the call about them from our adoption consultant. The days have been so long at times, and here I sit feeling like all I did was blink. I am their whole world today, and I know all too well how fast things change once they start getting around more people and having more fun. I just can’t process that it’s time. But I am just so grateful for these boys and that I get to be here for these days. That I get to be their mama and I get to cry in their playroom and pack their first lunches and buy their first school supplies. I get to worry and stress and lose my mind over if they’re going to behave or if the school will be calling me tomorrow. 😂😂 I get to be the one to love them and be loved by them. They are my greatest gifts and I’m so excited to see them take on their little world together. Thank you Jesus for the way you’ve blessed my life with my boys. 💙💙 #charandcar #adoption #prek #mamasboys by @melray57
4 years old today. I had no idea what we were getting into 4 years ago… all I knew is that I wanted you to be mine. I thank God every day that you are mine. In no other world could I love you any more than I do, and in no other way could I ever feel more grateful that you came into my life. You boys have given me more purpose than I knew was possible and having this place in your lives is something I’ll never take for granted. Mama loves you more than you will ever know. 🥹💙💚 #twins #twinboys #adoption #mygreatestgifts #goldenbirthday by @melray57
