My life is being a mom. I’ve newly started co-parenting. My home is a mix or perimenopause, mild sibling beef, autism, art and parenting humor 😀

It’s almost been a month since the kids’ father and I split up. Asking him to leave was one of the hardest things I’ve had to do, but it was absolutely for the best. For a while, the tension was high—he was bitter and scared about where he’d end up. But today, he finally has his own place, he’s close to the kids, and things are settling into a peaceful routine. The biggest shift? A negative text came through from him earlier, and instead of taking the bait, getting upset, and spiraling into depression like I used to... I just didn’t reply.I’m officially a single mom navigating an apartment of my own, finding beauty in the silver linings. I don’t own a coffee maker and usually can’t justify spending money on a daily cup, but my apartment complex has a free coffee station every morning. Sitting here with this cup, realizing I chose peace over conflict, makes me confident that everything is going to work out exactly how it’s supposed to. ☕✨ #newchapters #apartmentliving #movingon #Melsissues by @mels.issues
