Could not have been more impressed with Dr. Nudelman and his team at OPA Orthopedics in Bellevue. No judgement, just the best tips and tricks to healing and best wishes on her journey doing what she loves. It makes a difference to see someone in sports medicine who cares about and understands the perspective of the patient, even when she’s 15. We’re headed to Tennessee, y’all! Nicely done, Stormin Normin 🫡

🎟️ punched for the ranch and we could not be more proud of our guy ❤️ After Em broke her collarbone, he said “well we don’t have to go to Washougal now” but we made him go anyway, and look what he did! 3rd overall in Senior 45+.

He’d like to thank his pit crew- @emersyn_513 for being the best daughter ever, his amazing wife for usually having a cold water on hand and of course @whiteclaw for always being there to celebrate his victories 👏🏻🙌🏻 lessss go #LL26 by @melthemama

Happy Birthday to my sweet mom. Everyone’s biggest cheerleader, you’ve always just lost 10 lbs every time she sees you and she never misses an opportunity to help or show up. Can’t fault her for much, but I will for the haircut she gave me in the last slide. Why don’t we have cool athlete tailored surgeons/Dr’s who cater to our sport in the PNW like they do in the South or East Coast? The demand is here, right? If your kid breaks a collarbone in the Carolina’s or TX, you can probably get surgery within 48 hours. In WA, it’s a week for a consult. And a lecture on why letting your kids participate in this sport is beyond irresponsible, before they try to talk to out of surgery.

Before I get jumped for being a baby or not realizing how good we have it with just broken bone, if you don’t race mx or have kids attempting to race at a certain level, you just don’t get it. She spent a year prepping for these regionals after the last break and didn’t even get to the first moto of the first regional. It’s devastating!

We had 3 weeks between her first regional and her last regional, which left room for some hope after this break…but back in WA, it’s a snails pace to surgery because “that’ll heal on its own”. Bummed doesn’t begin to explain how waiting another year impacts the work that’s been put in. Moving forward always, but this week we get to be pissed off about how slowly injuries are addressed in our area. by @melthemama

15 years ago on Friday the 13th at 12:36 a.m., this Queen was born and our lives all got a lot more exciting. Never forget who you are Em- the funniest girl I know, with a huge heart of gold, who does extraordinary stuff I continue to be proud of all the time, who loves her favorite people fiercely and who makes the world a better place in everything you do. Classic 7 Rd. 1 & 2 after TNMX ✔️ ✔️ some good starts some not so good start, crashes, mistakes, lessons, sunshine, fun overall and good pizza. It was a great turnout, good competition + we had Em race up in the women’s A/B class instead of continuing another year in the C/D class. The moto world races down, the off-road world races up (for the most part) but at the end of the day, you gotta just put your kid where you think they’ll gain the most and that’s what we did.

Poor Norm let me register him and he ended up on a 43 man gate with mostly teenagers in the open C class 😭 he survived and finished all 8 motos over the weekend but ate a lotta Advil after a pretty good wreck day 1. What doesn’t kill them makes them stronger… right? Getting to race together so much will be something they both remember forever and that’s worth all the bumps along the way 🤞🏻🤍
