Should you buy a suppressor?After the BANISH 556 came in, I HAD to see a comparison between the muzzle break and the suppressor. Not only did I hear a noticeable noise difference using the @shootbanish , but the lack of recoil was shocking! I’m all about being tough, but taking the edge off when sending multiple rounds helps me be more accurate.(Now obviously this isn’t the most accurate decibel testing through a phone, but a simple decibel app helped me see the comparison better.) My biggest Tom ever! Dad and I spotted this gobbler fanned out just alongside public land. With a trail on the edge of the public, it made an ideal situation to get in tight and set out a couple @avianxofficial decoys! We set those and talked fiercely with @slayercalls . Within minutes, he came in hammering and in full strut to see what all the fuss was about. It always feels good to get a gobbler, but to get a tom of this size, and on public land, is just icing on the cake. This marks my second double bearded tom in 2026. He also had a whopping 1.5” SPURS! This is by far the biggest tom I’ve ever put hands on. “Better make it happen”Bringing Tom’s in close is the biggest rush of adrenaline. It’s the unknown, excitement, and beauty that makes hunting these things so incredible. Last night, we were able to get around and set up quick. I threw the Avian X HDR Strutter paired with the HDR hen. As soon as we sat against the pine tree, the tom created the hill and you see the rest unfold. These are the memories that will last a lifetime! Started my season off hot in Wisconsin! Two mornings of getting right in close to the roost. I love being able to get in close and feel those gobbles off the tree!
